Sadly sequels do go down hill the more you do, there are occasional exceptions where the original success allows the producer to do things they wanted to do in the 1st movie but couldnt, or where single stories are so epic they require several movies to tell the tale in full.

BUT most sequels like this one are just a way of squeezing every last $$$ off the success of the original and ultimately taint the original.



Am I prejudging, YES. Why ? Because experience has taught me to have low expectations in these circumstances to avoid disappointment.

True and I havent decided Pirates will be horrible, but I do have low expectations, and I recon anyone who thinks it will be as good as the 1st movie will be disappointed.

They replaced two horrible actors for another horrible actor with bigger breasts. It's only logical in Hollywood.

I disagree, Hollywood is very logical, it's all about the profit margin and the business model is quite simple

Famous Actor + Hot Actress + Car Chase + Explosions + Guns + Some CGI + Heavy marketing and hype = Cha-Ching $$$$$$$$

If you cant find a good idea, just recycle old ones with a few changes, or be even lazier and do a remake of something that was popular with the previous generation.
