I think you won the first round mate, no one seems able to think of another actor in the Notebook that has been in any other good films lol
Best pick another one to start from

we've not seen that movie in 12 years or so, how are we to be expected to know which roles were important?
The one thing we knew was that there were many possible choices to move on to from this movie...
anyways...
Vin Diesel in The Chronicles of Riddick
oh, and to make it more interesting...
we're making it a branched thread... Now there's two movies to find people in (but you have to find one in each)
Matt Damon in Dogma

Glad you liked it, I love those old technic-color big scenery, massive number of extra's in the cast stuff, makes for epic cinematography, very much in the style of Zulu, but with a far better story and script
Spoilt for choice on these two, I'll go for
Russell Crowe in L.A. Confidential
and
Sean Connery in Rising Sun

Kevin Spacey - The Usual Suspects
Wesley Snipes - Demolition Man.
Yes, it was an amazing movie. Loved it to death. You know what's awesome? I actually OWN Zulu. It's in a hard plastic case with a bad ass VHS Cover. Om nom nom.
How about Bridge on the River Kwai?

I did like Bridge on the River Kwai, I like lots of WW2 movies but my favorite Japanese POW film has to be Empire of the Sun. I also recently re-watched the WW1 film Lawrence of Arabia, always loved it but on my new 50' widescreen it's epic
Back to the game Usually Suspects is one of my favorites, dont think any movie has more great quotes, and again spoilt for choice with the actors, recon I'll go for,
Benicio Del Toro in The Hunted
and
Sandra Bullock in The Net
