People with windows who format their PC twice a year, for performance, say those things

My last windows ran for near 3 years, till I got a new laptop.
Had all sorts of browsers, but IE was fastest in starting up and loading pages

You just have to know how to deal with all those add ons and such ^_^

we've never formatted our PCs (well, except a laptop whose hard drive failed), and we've found firefox to be superior to IE in any and all ways... especially in security...
There is a reason that the majority of those that know more than minimum about computers use other browsers than IE...
We also use Opera and enjoy that as secondary browser (it too is very quick, and can be set to even quicker mode), but we've not tried Chrome, so we cant speak for that one...

we remember having fun a few years ago in school, since we discovered that the student accounts there did not have limited enough accounts... the registry editor was accessible... so IE6 went from being "internet explorer 6 provided by [school name]" to "internet security hole provided by the devil"

Yup ... both programs nowadays spam you with updates, firefox aswell as IE etc
What version we @ now ? and how many holes were fixed ?
Oh well .. both IE and FF have large support, even IE has many things to prevent many unwanted sites and sorts ... but realy, cerrtain sites may occasionally load a site a second sooner, but it just depands on processing power, line speed and how well your PC is running.

And you smell like an idiot

yeah stupidity reeks.
http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-v ... fox36.htmllatest firefox known vulnarability list ...
Thats quite a list there ......
You people are so biased with the idea of not liking bill gates and windows you just go with the crowd haha ....
There is just one operating system that tends to be somewhat safer, and thats mac os using the bsd jails systems ... just to bad its browser is annoying.

You people?
I am not people. Ignore that other one when he's in this kind of mode, it's odd.

Anyway. Just don't use a browser. Jack your brain into the internet directly. Beats 'browsers', 'search engines' and all that stuff.
