Good point. I wonder why no one thought of that before. Oh wait.
Nothing admin does will be an acceptable change to the current playerbase or provide improvement in newbie friendliness.

Because if it's not, the game WILL die. Not a question of if.
Your better off having a game where 1000 people leave and 1000 people join each year, then a game that starts with 10,000, and looses 1000/year. The first practically never dies. The second dies in 10 years.

this is a complex game. it looks simple only to the old players..
How long will the old players play? For another 20 years? Most of them will leave in a few years and slowly the game will die.
