And yes Math..I did say EX TA. And they are not accusations, there's plenty of records how THEY believed JUAN was a cheat.

You said old TA leaders. I just wanted to clarify that none of this was done by people in TA. The Old Skool TA members weren't around much longer than Opti and certainly didn't run anything after the disappearance as that was Evilhomer then Fury then our HC system. The real TA was the members that stuck around when Opti disappeared and did damn hard work to rebuild our alliance and keep it going for these *gulp* 6 years

We're all old now  Where did my cane go?

I have a feeling that if the TA had it's current leadership then, our history would be far less tumultuous. Opti was a decent bloke..too bad he left, we used to chat in those days.

Ok Jixxi, here's something you might find funny. There was a player called _Apophis_, dodgy character with loads of officers and such and everyone screamed cheat at him. He had a huge army and so on.
Then one day admin created supers and made it possible for people to untrain previously untrained military units. The bunch who eventually formed Metal Messiah exploited a loophole to make billions when attacking for 10 million naq was alot (the thread and their plans are somewhere on these forums). So it pissed alot of us off. In fact, the old leader of the Order found the 'exploit' too and he mentioned it to me. But instead of using it we informed admin and he closed the loophole.
But anyways I decided to wind up certain people. So I issued an order to an undercover Omegan to change his id to CHEAT KILLER. Then he built up his account to mass the 'exploiters' with some of our resources but mainly by 'befriending _Apophis_ ingame, getting him to send ingame pms promising his support and resources to mass.
And so CHEAT KILLER massed Brother Crit, Jay6669, ben and so on. He then publicly announced that he had punished the 'cheats' and praised the 'help' of _Apophis_ with screenshots of Apophis pledging support.
At the same time I had announced my own plans to hit _Apophis__ and got great support from BrotherCrit etc who wanted revenge. So I started my battle, attacking a little bit, conserved my own resources while letting crit and his group do most of the work..(those days legal resources were tough to come by). For that entire week I couldn't help laughing whenever I signed in.

Hahaha. I tried to get _Apophis_ to start playing again late in 05 to get some of the fun back, but he sent back:
if i came back, i got nothing lol, i have to start all over then... and il start as a noob... so i wont play.. maybe when it resets..

:-D

I miss the old ETL vs everyone of 05. The good old Neb/Apophis/Brothercrit threads were fun.....now all we get are Harch and Roket #-o

They may well have been cheating gits but they were fun :(

If I remember well, JUAN had a vendetta started with Puck after he killed a massive amount of spies off him.

But anyways I decided to wind up certain people. So I issued an order to an undercover Omegan to change his id to CHEAT KILLER. I didn't remember that part of game history... :o

I recall more the times of Grand Alliance vs GA, Nebulator vs Omega, ect...

I also recall about a bug in 2005 that said a message in top of the game that the tok'ra gave free spy levels to some people overnight or something, which enabled some people to get up to level 23 when it was as huge as level 39 is nowadays. Was it the supers bug?

nah this bug was actually much earlier..I was actually talking to admin at the time while playing the first wave of quantum and was buying my spy level..u remember how we had to click fast to ensure no one stole our naq off us? So I clicked and suddenly I was 3 levels up instead of 1..as I was on chat with admin he corrected it..and then we recieved reports from main..one fool took his spy level to 134 and started sabbing people..(at this time level 13-14 was about the highest). So admin stopped the game and the tok'ra gave or took away random levels. I actually lost a level in main but at the time didn't care as I wasn't really playing seriously. I hadn't even met Iron by then which led to our legendary ingame partnership.

Well, it was a while ago so I don't remember what level was the top at the time, but I remember people were standing with crazy levels at the top after this mess (happened when I was sleeping or something). As for quantum wave 1, even though I played it too, I don't remember more. :( Lmao level 134 that's bigger than anything I saw on the beta server during last years! The bug I remember to have faced by myself was the income/UP bug, going in the quadrillions, but that was long after this covert level bug.

I should point out for the record, and the Fact remains (Ghostygoo will back me up if needs be, he's the one who pointed this out to me...infact, speak to Jason himself!) Juans account was never banned or actually proven to be a cheat, nor was he ever caught in possession of a multi account, and his account was put under more scrutiny than perhaps any other account has ever been. If he did cheat, i should point out, he was exceptionally good at it... he was never caught officially. The only thing i remember him being caught doing was abuseing that "officer" bug, which quite a few people where abuseing as i recall at the time...

... Im also pretty sure Juan was a Chick.

^_^ Chicks can be -exceptional- cheats. I had one once who said she was just bicurious, but afterwards turned out to be all-in gay. Somewhat embarrassing conversation after waking up.

Anyway, EtL; how complete *are* those records? I know I kept quite a few as alliance leader, but from what I read, yours must be massive. :) Would you indulge us with another story? :-D

ok here's another one. In a way it's about opti, but mainly about the OOC. Now you guys know I've been friends with Ste/Goo for ages..great speechmaker and stuff. But tbh, reminded me of chemical ali, big upping his OOC when infact it was relatively weak. By this time Iron and myself had gotten into our stride. Iron was still in the OOC at the time, vastly more powerful than all of them but he kept a low profile. At the time, only Jake and Fox were truly getting what Iron and myself were doing, but anyways I'm sidetracking..
Now the OOC was divided into 3 sections..with leaders called 1st libra, 2nd and so on. As I was friends with about 80 percent of the OOC, I offered to join with a fourth group, one of powerful non goa'uld. But I was refused and given the reason they wanted to keep it all goa'uld. So iron also left and along with Jake, Fox and Xavier, Omega was born in main.
Now all this time, Goo was amping up the rhetoric against the TA and their allies. Due to my 'friendship' with Opti and agents within the various groups I knew an attack would be launched against the OOC. Well as everyone knows it was one of the most successful strikes ever launched ingame. So basically they might have avoided all that by the choices they made.
