So i take it its now back to 3 hours / hit so 9 hours to descend someone if your doing max damage ( or has max damage been removed ?? )

Admin has to find balance though, making it 7.5 hours to descend someone is great if your a student or work in an office or hell unemployed and sit on your ass all day, and you can log in every 2.5/3 hours to make the hit, but for most of us who have full time jobs and family, we cannot, so surely that gives us a disadvantage yes/no, my account is decent in ascended, but im away from a computer up to 10+ hours a day, so anyone who had time and patience could take me out, and why, simply because i couldn't log on because of work/family....

I personally think admin should just make the ascended server completely separate server, the link between the 2 servers died along time ago, the server is so unbalanced now.

It should be a minimum of 12 hours, I agree. Making it 3 hours between hits and a max of 1/3 damage each hit would make sense. This means that realistically it would take 4 hits, being 12 hours.

well your calculator is now wrong ... you did not add what is being added back to reserves for the next 30min


also you can only do so much damage:

Wait...you realize that you actually dealt more damage, but the Ascended League of Battle (the 'rule makers' in ascended battles)intervened...The result is that you did the maximum amount of damage possible on them - two fifths of their total possible life force reserve (???,???,???)

inactive people at some point can be descended

active people you have to be able to have a big enough TOC and have the shortest amount of time to get it done, or it just is not going to happen

we all only get a max of 2000 turns and then depending on where you are ranked is how many you get per turn so it makes it pretty hard for a active person to farm enough DMU to build TOC that can do something and then go on a 99turn hit every 3 hours so you can descend someone... Time should be shortened not increased. (2hours)

Irrespective of how poor your account is? with this update you may as well take away the "assault directly button" I for one wont be using it again. I am happy to keep hitting someone for more then 12 hours...if their account is half decent...not if they are an inactive noob.

Most people who are active cannot be descended in under 15 hours anyway...this just protects the lazy.

Why should it take me 12 hours to descend you, and you a split second to repair...how is that fair?

Only plus side to this update, Is before it I needed level 900 in defence to be undescendable, I only now need level 850 - and some people are already back over that, thus undescendable....AGAIN.

This is what I have been advocating myself Comador. it should be 2 hours at 1/4 the hit making it 4 hits and 8 hours minimum. In my opinion that is.

I was talking about simply the update of the extra calculation, not the change in time as it used to be 3 hours, was changed shortly to 2.5, then back to 3 hours again. (Edit: may realize what you said, it was using the older number which changed it to 13 from 11).Those who are less than the maximum do not count for the increase, as they are the less than. If you are already doing that, then there is no reason for it to be faster. It was already basically done so that in 3 hours you do twice as much damage, I do not see why it needs less time between hits also unless you want to just go ahead and make everyone descend in 2 hits 1 hour apart no matter what. See who can stay up longest to stay alive and kill the rest.

Your argument of limited ats is flawed as well, limited amount of ats, so you should be able to use them at 3/2x the speed to save them? :smt017

This update has done nothing but make it easier to descend people, I don't see how that means you should never use it again? And yes, you should be able to be active enough to repair no matter how bad your account is, obviously you can be choose to keep it low enough and login more often, so be it.

the turns save them ya I am scratching my head also if your saving them your not being very active I would have to ask do you play ascended?

also most people would not be going around descending everyone .. turns is a factor, you only have so many in your army, and you sometimes have to mass defenses before doing the descending if you were not aware it takes 20x the strike over their defense to be able to descend someone. So descending the server is totally out of question....
when your in a alliance you do not descend everyone anyway but during war times it is a very good way of helping on main and so a very viable server working hand and hand with main

I understand that people do not want to look on ascended or be bothered but it is there so some of us do use it and like playing it.

also I am not talking about the bigger TOC I am talking only of the TIME change

So how exactly does increasing the time between attacks make it easier?

I never said you shouldn't be able to repair, but the effort to descend it significantly more then to repair.

With regards to comador's comment about the use of AT's, he meant it will now take longer to descend most people...costing more turns (which we don't have) at a rough calc, the same account hitting me at 2.5 hours as opposed to 3 hours - will now take a minimum 600 extra turns to descend me

that is not true for a day or to it did make it very easy to descend a noob account but the admin has put in restrictions that limit your TOC so much that it now takes yyou as much time to descend a better account

say your TOC is 10, 000,000,000 and you see a guy with 18,000 total reserves it still will take 3 or 4 hits to take it down

so its not easier still takes the hours and turns to do it

Love it, personally I agree. It's not my fault if someone chooses to not keep their ascended in shape. Their needs to be a point were we realize the defenders need to be active in order to save themselves, defender already gets the advantage from the direct assault damage cap, and don't even need to stay awake to prevent this. They can log in a second before and refill blocking all the work the person does, giving the defender even more an advantage. Meanwhile the attacker has to time his hits and loose some sleep or find someone to take over. To much time for the attacker, to little for the defender, feels unbalanced to me as well.

I see what you guys are saying and the 1/3 max damage does suck completely when you want to descend an account not built at all in ascended but on the other hand, being descended COMPLETELY screws your main account for 2 weeks.

Farming/massing/defending, everything is harder and more costly. IMO to screw someones account that drastically and for that amount of time it should be difficult or a team effort.

I got descended by TL a few months ago, they hit me every 2.5hrs for 65hrs straight as a team. They earned me being descended and screwing me for 2 weeks.

Hitting someone twice in 4hrs and having them unable to do much for 2 weeks? Where is the effort in that?

In fairness, how many people would be in that boat? and how difficult would it be for them to get out of it? It may take a long time to catch up on ascended...but it certinaly does NOT take a long time to build half decent def levels

What is half-decent? 800s? 900s?
You have many kinds of people in Ascended:
- people who don't know it exists (they ascend, and never log in) - Average def lvls: 10.
- people who try it and leave (they ascend, log in, build a few minor things, and leave it behind) - Average def lvls: 100
- people who try it, like it, and occasionally try to get a bit better (they ascend, log in, build a few things, log in regularly -once or twice a week- and build more stuff) - Average def lvls: 300-400
- people who try it, consider they should be undescendable, and occasionally maintain their account to reflect inflation in strike/def values (ascend, log in, farm occasionally to keep up with minimal defence parameters, log in once or twice a day to see whether they're being hit -only when in paranoia mode due to actions on main-) - Average def lvls: 600+
- people who ascended relatively recently and are playing actively. Actives, spend up to an hour a day on ascended, at various times of the days in addition to their main. - Average def lvls: 800

- Addicts: Superactives; always hitting the 'exceeded session limit' page; logging in again. Hopeless. - Average def lvls: 1100
(and loads more who are in between)


What I see reacting are the addicts and superactives. Occasionally an active comes along and protests the insane requirements put forth by the Addicts and Superactives, who would rather see everyone living their lives on Main and Ascended, than think about having actual lives with things to do. The Addicts and Superactives want people to log in every 30 minutes, at least, to prevent descension. Otherwise, they might as well be descended right away, because they (Actives and lower) are not playing the game right. Why, when Admin would go crazy and let these Superactives and Addicts descend people in 30 minutes, they would start complaining that that is not fast enough. Maybe not immediately, but in a year or two, new Superactives and Addicts (people who acquired great ascended accounts and joined their playing style) will not have experienced the 'slow pace' and will hate Descension taking only 30 minutes (as is EXACTLY what is happening now). Superactives and Addicts will never understand that other classes of players exist, and will always put their own needs before the needs of the game. The game needs a substantial base of Actives, and does not need these Addicts and Superactives misrepresenting the cause of Ascended; in fact, this misrepresentation is detrimental to the game's chances of ever reaching a healthy playerbase.
So. Basically, the Addicts and Superactives should shut up about "I wanna descend BibbyJoe REALLY quickly" and start focussing on how to get more Actives in the game. You may not realise it, but because of your Addiction or SuperActivity, you are presenting a statistical anomaly in Admin's feedback. Someone who is active 12h a day (An Addicted Superactive) will provide feedback 12 times as loud as a regular player who logs in and plays about an hour a day.

I have to applaud =D> TL =D> for sticking to it and descending you duderanch ... and if you never logged in to look at your account then maybe wake up smell the roses and play the game or put it on vacation mode ..... you actually tell it like it is THE REASON TO DESCEND ACCOUNTS IS TO SLOW THEM DOWN ON MAIN and ascended...... this being said if you look around not everyone is descended .... like I said before we pretty much only go around descending accounts that we are at war with the other part of the time we are working on building our accounts... but whatever the issue here is time. People that are inactive do not deserve to be extra protected and people that are active we need all the help :smt100 we can get to get it done.

by the way the FEAR of getting descended does to some degree help people login and make their accounts better

a decent MNEC - 800+
with a good flow, channel, repulse and def levels of 700 can keep you pretty safe from most of the server for 12 hours....this is already before an update.

I'd expect any account ingame (that has 1bil total planets) to be able to acheive these stats in a little over a week. This is not with farming 24/7 infact 2 turns a day on ascended can be rewarding. If you look at some of the people moaning, they put in a lot more then 2 turns of farming on main a day....so it all boils down to laziness.
