Just watched episodes 1 to 5 and loved it, sword fights, jousting, factional medevil style bloodlines, politics & power struggles, all good stuff. Great to see Sean Bean back on the screen too, now Stark instead of Sharpe lol

Being HBO we just have to hope they actually see the story through to the end and not screw us over & cut it short as they have a history of doing with good shows.

HBO announced that they would be commissioning a second season of the show following audience figures of approximately 4.2.million in the US for its April 17th premiere broadcast and a peak UK and Irish figure of 823,000 on April 18th. [59]

And if the story is planned to be spread over 3 or 4 or 5 series and the viewing figures drop ??????? A 2nd series is most welcome but sadly is no guarantee they wont leave us mid story like in Deadwood and others. All production companies and broadcasters swing with the ratings but HBO do it worse than most.

I just saw the episode no.9, the ending was incredible.

Tomorrow the 10th episode will be aired, the last from this season. I just can't wait to see the next season.

Did anyone read the books?
Cant believe they executed Stark, I thought he would be one of the hero's & at least go down in a fight. The Khal getting sick was a surprise too. The midget guy is great, being knocked out my his own band of primitive tribal thugs at the start of the battle was perfect, but not sure what the point of sacrificing so many to capture his brother Jamie was now that Starks dead so they cant trade for him.

Not enough time to do much with the civil war, invasion by the Khal or rampage of the white walkers this series, I guess all will start for the cliffhanger at the end of episode 10
This is the first series in a long time that I look forward to the next episode with anticipation. Please please dont let it be canceled

Who could resist the Khaleesi, hell I would find dragon egg and start a war for her

we have read the books, and its fairly obvious you have not, mezzanine... We'll read the next book this summer, when we can get hold of it... (its not released yet)

This show is the best book adaptation we've seen so far. Its staying pretty true to the books...
Unlike so many other authors, George R. R. Martin isn't afraid to kill main characters...

Despite having been fairly certain he'd be killed off, these beings will miss having Eddard in the episodes...

Is that in reference to the khaleesi only being 14. (in the books anyway)
Have to agree with you both Zeratul very well put together and almost perfect to the books, only seen a few minor discrepancies that haven't taken away from the story at all. ~T~

nope, not reference to Khaleesi age (we'd actually forgotten that part, even though it rings true now)
Song of Ice and Fire is much better suited for adaption than most book series.
