I'm not really one for random massings, but according to Haz they wanted war, so war they got...

Ive went to war over allot less. Like the thankgiving day massacre a few years back.. all becasue it was thanksgiving.

Hello all.
I have sent repeated requests to Eternity (leader of The Corporation) requesting peace and he has ignored them all. He and his alliance have completely, %100, unprovoked and unjustifiably massed my alliance repeatedly. Even though I have made it clear to everyone that I have come into contact with, that Ascended Assemby is a GROWTH alliance NOT a WARRING alliance. I have not retaliated at all because I don't want to be at war with anyone! AA is designed to be a peaceful alliance and we want to be friends with everyone and eventually become a sanctuary for those like-minded players that have seen enough of war and want to grow their accounts. However Eternity has refused our requests for peace and so I have no choice but to take action! I have sent a pm to several powerful alliance leaders requesting their services to teach TC a lesson and I am placing an ad here to those who are interested and capable of offering their services to;
#1: Mass all players of the corporation especially 'Eternity', extremely harshly.
#2: Steal all their planets.
#3: destroy all their weapons via sabotage.
#4: Sit on them for a few months or more as farms.

If you are interested, contact SDA (AA leader), and state your price. I will be taking bids for these services over the next 48hours. Thankyou!

and if it happened to be called Gatepeace I assume you would never attack anyone and keep to yourself? Use your brain. The game is what you make, don't use a lame excuse such as the name to justify what you do.

There is no rule that says you need a good reason to mass another alliance, but when I'm sure you could find an alliance willing to choose to go have a war with you it's mind boggling why one would choose a random alliance to mass.

I wasn't using the name Gatewars as justification, I was using it to say "get used to them, they happen".

My reasoning was "I was bored, and they'd tried recruiting us (which isn't bad, but a little bit rude). It wasn't random. When I get bored, I usually check my logs or my messages for a potential massing target.

Even if -to our extreme pacifists- the original reason might not have been the 'best' ever, the reaction by the Ascended Assembly (or actually, by SDA) warrants complete destruction of -at least- SDA, and through his actions, the entire Ascended Assembly.

A hit for hire, you say? How fascinating an enterprise. It's actually been awhile since I've seen anyone actively recruiting mercenaries.

In my opinion - Due to AA being the defendants, and TC being the aggressors, TC don't get much of a right to complain how AA decide to hold themselves in a war. If they have the resources to hire the guns - that's a completely legitimate game tactic. Since I farm SDA, maybe that counts as payment already. I haven't quite decided yet. But for now - Just time to do some recon duty.
