They want an easy "make and sell" product which will catch. Thats all the dragons comprehend and all they can deal with.

It wasn't that they didn't understand it, they well might not have, but that wasn't the reason. They wanted a product, he gave them an idea. They aren't in the business of helping someone start a company, at least on average, it's too risky. They want a company that has shown potential but needs an influx of cash to get to the next level. That's their bread and butter and that's what they'll take every day of the week.

Exactly. All they want to do is milk a stable business that is already in production. To be honest I don't understand except for extra publicity and advertising reasons why a stable business would want to part with half of their company to a dragon. The Dragons are supposed to have the eye for a good business idea or a good product that sells. If a company already sells then he's simply tagging along.

True, only 2 ways to get investment

1) Have a great new invention with patent

2) Already have a successful business and need contacts / money not available elsewhere for big expansion.

As for the publicity thing, have you seen the 'where are they now' follow up show ?

Lots of these people agree to deals in the den and dont sign the contract afterwards so they get free publicity and public endorsement that a dragon wanted in. Quite a smart move for some types of business.



Anyways, this is all off topic, if I wanted to discuss the show I would have posted in the TV Room. This thread is for crazy inventions and business idea's you would like to take to the den

As for the car itself, not so much. I think it was a Pontiac Firebird, they look good but like all American cars they cant corner, have suspension that give you sea sickness and very inefficient engines. No-one can get less horsepower out of a massive engine than an American lol

Well I'll make sure my invention looks like K.I.T.T but drives like a beast
