Seems the fire is closer than I thought. That photo was taken right outside of my house.

The fire is more intense, the winds are shifting and my nervous are evacuating. My ain't had decided she's going to Ft. Hoods and my mother is going to Giddings. My choice is start behind and hope for the best while being stranded if there us an emergency or go with my aunt. Tough choice.

Fires are really a pain during summers, I hope this one won't be one of those that doesn't want to give up in spite of firefighters' work.

I'm really **Filtered** pissed right now. Steiner Ranch in Northwest Austin has a fire threatening a few hundred homes. Yet it's getting all the media attention whereas over 5,000 people have been evacuated from their homes in Bastrop. Still the 16 mile long and 6 mile wide fire that has burned more than 500 homes is nothing but an after thought.
They're now starting to give it more attention, 3 days into the fire, still their focus is Steiner Ranch.
What's the difference? Property value.

The fire has turned around and doubled back, the area is filling with smoke.

this was on the UK news 1000 homes now destroyed and 5000 people evacuated stretching 16miles
