I never understood the need to meet actors/actresses, they are not their characters and it's the characters we like so why ? I just dont get it ???

It's not a "need" to meet them, I just like to meet them. We all have things we like doing. People like spending $$ on a free game, some people like spending ££ meeting actors, getting autographs and photoshoots. There's no need to understand it, it's just personal likes and dislikes.

Oh i've not hugged Matt Smith lol, but I went to a Doctor Who stage show thing last year I think (or maybe this year) and Matt Smith was in the audience and he stood up with the spotlight on him for a few seconds.
