I suppose though, that in the end I am only really jealous, not about the actual covert level but about having a spare £600 to throw at the wall and let the wind blow away.

3.2Q at 3T to the USD, 1100 USD, 700 GBP sounds more like it. But hey, what's 600 pounds if you have a few billion?

I don't think there are billionaires who do play this game. However, people with very good incomes who could afford buying worth of 2500-3000 every month, I believe so. Which enables them to get a big amount of naq/uu and refill pretty often and build massive stats.

*chuckles* No one in their sane mind is going to spend more than 1% of their income on games. Having said that, your 'big spender' would have an income of at least 250,000-300,000 a month. That goes a long way towards becoming a billionaire, if you're clever enough about it.

Hmm maybe, I would believe more that millionaires or their family to play than billionaires. I would believe billionaires rarely wishing to involve themselves in the "average people" life (that would include the "lower part" of millionaires for some of them), even if it's to be online game. But there might be exceptions, I guess.

I don't believe the ones who spend a lot do only spend 1% of their incomes and even less they earn that much a month. Spend more like 5-15%. If someone was to gain 300k a month and only spent 1%, they would probably decide once in awhile to spend 10% of it, which would mean 30k spent here and there, and that would mean we would have some accounts around here much bigger than the current biggest ones. I believe the average income of big spenders to be around 9-40k/month.
Would mean the big majority wouldn't spend more than 50/month if we go by that 1% rule. If we count ATs, naq/uu bought etc...it goes beyond that for quite a few people.

Me too, and I agree about wishful thinking!

If I won the Euro-Millions say, I would probably buy a whopping great account for fun and make it near impenetrable but not entirely so that other cash and non cash players had a fighting chance to bring it down. It would be no skin off my nose to get a whooping, and particularly the non cash players could get a huge pat on the back for doing it.

A generous person with silly amounts of money could quite easily cause a huge imbalance in the game were he or she to bolster their own alliance members for example to ridiculous levels. It could take months even years for other alliances to catch up, essentially rendering the game null.

When I said 5-15%, I think that some of these people also happen to sell/buy at different rates, to have a margin profit allowing them to buy more. However, that must be less practiced nowadays than in past.
Also, buying a large amount of resources at lower rates than regular prices to avoid spending as much as the normal rates would require. Other strategies but still, I wouldn't expect to see any person in this game whose income is higher than 50-60k a month (outside of in game trading). Probably because those with higher incomes are way too busy to come play such a time spending game.

I have been spending about 3% of my income each month lately, all though it's not something I have done for long or plan to continue doing for long. Still, if you're really wealthy I think 1% is an underestimation. Assuming they enjoy the results of spending $$ on games, they probably spend more than the 3% I do b/c the can spare it.

Probably some business owners play this game, and have such income (35-45k), per month. But, 250k-300k is the starting income from a CEO of a global firm. Also, I don't expect to see CR7 or David Beckham to play SGW, but well, who knows maybe we have few professional football/basket/golf/... players in this game under anonymous identity? There I would believe them to spend below 2% of their income to remain low on the radar.
Maybe we also have finances traders who spend in game as they get deals. That would be accurate. Their income fluctuating quite a bit...
However as I said, all of these being quite busy couldn't probably have enough time for a game.

Exactly how much time do you need with rank 1 stats? Not much.

Wow your estimates are way off..

I've spent just over $700 at .30 a trill on NAQ in the last three months, not $3500 a month... if I did that I would have 41/41 and rank 1 MS. (I do not)
