My mothership is called QUORTHON, and there's a story behind that name:

Many of you took names from Norse Mythology... it's just.. well... I'm not sure is it love for Norse Mythology a real reason or because there are many names from Norse Mythology in Star Gate serial. 8)

As for me, I also like Norse Mythology, but I've decided to make a different move. In 1983. the band called Bathory was born... Their first 3 albums were very dark and unholy... but then the mastermind of Bathory, Quorthon, made a big change. He invented a Viking/Folk Metal genre. Themes like Norse Mythology, journeys of viking people and quests of heroes were primary in his music.

And then came the sad day for world of Metal music:

09.06.2004 - BATHORY mastermind Tomas "Quorthon" Forsberg was found dead in his apartment in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday, June 7.
The 39-year-old son of Black Mark Records owner Börje Forsberg, long considered one of black metal's founders, died of an apparent heart failure.

So, now you know why I took that name...

REST IN PEACE, QUORTHON... YOUR LEGACY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !
