That attitude is what's killing the game... You all need something better to do than whine and complain about how the game is dying. GO OUT AND MAKE THE GAME LIVE. Find new players, talk old ones into coming back.. you name it whatever. It takes a community effort to keep this going and the community is not making any effort. Instead we just sit and whine that the game is dying. I'm getting bloody sick of it.

But bigger is always better 
C'mon... since when do people worry about how many people play a game?
To be honest I would probably still play sgw if there were only 10 actives left.
To those that threaten to leave cause of the 'game dying'.

The only way some can achieve any kind of prominence is if players keep quitting, which is usually the case with some that refuse to acknowledge more effort is needed by all in increasing the membership and not just "bla bla bla then quit bla bla bla..Know what I mean jelly bean

I don't think the game is dying. However, too many people have the mentality that it is. It's contagious, more and more people begin to believe it. If people stopped griping about how they think it's dying, the over all view of the game would not be so dismal. I think the majority of players think it's still alive and kickin. The amount of players active is bound to go up and down constantly over time.
This is a game where you can log on for 5 minutes, bank your resources, and log off. The player count is not an accurate representation of how many people play.

We in HVE get totally new players joining all the time. there are 7 billion people on this planet and plenty of them are stupid enough to play this game they just need to find it.

Yea, just take a glance at mist village. A good 40 members, be them not big its still 40 newish players

Some of them are returning old players but I'd say most are complete nubs.

I think everyone is looking into this to much. Everyone thinks the games dying because all the big, well known names are disapearing. Oh well, just means the rest of us get to have fun.

I think that the game isn't dying. Its definately becoming smaller. Turning into a tight group of players. However i think the forum is 'dying' a lot of what I think could be called 'big forum chracters' have been leaving and not being replaced. The game is fine guys

The most people I remember seeing online was close to 1000. That was during the First Server War. Maybe DDE should try to kill the server...that always seems to reinvigorate people. If not the game will die and we will all wait for DDE to finish making their game.

Maybe time to go advertise this game in Stargate-related fora, whether they are english based, or from your own nation (if you aren't from English language nation), if you happen to be member of some of these. For my part, I'll start advertising more actively for it. Who knows, maybe few will join?
