hmm... so many choices... but none of them weird. (according to us)

One of the stranger ones was many many years ago. We slept in a tent nailed up in an attic.

Other places that we do not consider strange:
On a glacier.
Suspended between a pair of trees mid-fall (when frost was starting to come).
On a bathroom floor (it was nice and warm. We even brought along pillow.)
In a lake. (there might've been a canoe underneath us, but...)
In the afternoon.
On a sack of hay.

I've napped while floating down the river without the aid of any sort of floatation device. Slept on a tree in the water. Napped on a stranger's roof. That's about it really.

In a canoe. In the middle of a lake, while going down a river, and while beached on land.
On a lawn mower.
On a table.
Under a staircase. Harry Potter had a mattress, the wuss.
Under a bed.
On the back of a couch.
Under a pool table.
In a pool.
On a dock.
In a boat.
In a tent on a rock.
In a sleepingbag on the ground.

I'm sure there are more...oh! I spent a month sleeping in a tipi (tepee/teepee depending on where you learned to spell it).
