The way it was explained to me NewGrounds legalises Multi-ing anyway, is it correct you can start a new account in NewGrounds and 'ascend' it into main, therefor having 2 accounts in main ?? Or does admin expect people who play new grounds and ascend to main to delete/sell their old main account which they may have spent years building ?

What version?
(If this is the case, I'll use it as an excuse to keep ignoring the software update pop-up 8-[ )

I'm sure it doesn't legalise multi-ing. I don't know about the ascending bit in to main etc, but i'm sure you can't create 2 accounts in Newgrounds, i.e. multi-ing.

*glare* Not seeing IDs does not mean they are no longer there.

I didn 't say they weren't there anymore, but if they aren't visible then how would Jason expect users to report accounts? It seems stupid to remove them.

He didn't. This is a hoax thread.

It's not a hoax thread. I actually did not see ID's when i wrote it. I actually think that admin might get rid of them, or something of a sorts because of the "link" he wants to create between NG and MAIN ( on which i would like more details ) .

P.S. : My dear Juliette, why do you rush into a decision without proper insight?

Insight? Juliette asked me to check ingame to confirm she wasn't the only one still seeing IDs. I'm still seeing IDs, and so is everyone else we've spoken to, and everyone who posted in this thread. We concluded you're simply overreacting to a browser glitch, and that you're inventing a story in which admin would have a purpose to remove those IDs to lend credibility to your report of a glitch.

Facts are:
You logged in, you didn't see IDs.
Everyone else logs in, everyone else sees IDs. (See this thread. There is absolutely no one who confirms what you saw.)
You assume what you saw had meaning, and argue from the point that your observation was not just a browser glitch, and everyone else is wrong.
Since you're convinced nothing happens without Jasons sayso, you continue your argument on that basis.

This thread is nothing but inventsay (as opposed to hearsay, because no one heard anything), and some very bad assumptions. And you dare accuse someone else of a lack of insight? She's not the one creating a story around a glitch that one person came across. Keep your slanderous nonsense to yourself.

IDs are still showing.
As proved below with three different browsers...

This is clearly not a hoax thread. A hoax thread would be a trick to make people believe that the IDs are no longer visible.

It was obviously unfortunate timing when Malx was online and they for some reason didn't show.

out of Ashu and Juilette we all know who is the practised hoaxer.. and it isn't Malx..

Malx experienced something that wasn't right ingame and made a query about it.. he has a right to ask.

Just because he is the only one so far to express having experienced it, doesnt mean its a hoax.. maybe it will happen to others.. or maybe it was/it just a glinch his end. Time will tell.

I'd have to agree, cherub. Hoax isn't the proper word.
Making a thread speculating about something is fine. Shouldn't present it as something admin's working on though, if you don't know that he's. It confuses people. See Clarkey, reacts like it's a fact. It's not.
That's the point I've been trying to make. I don't know if Juliette meant anything else, don't know Malx. I just know that Juliette asked me and others to check Malx' claim ingame, so complaining about an exaggerated lack of insight is unjust. There's nothing wrong with asking a question, agreed. There's something wrong with presenting a single glitch as a completely worked out plan by admin if it's nothing more than speculation. Unless we're all joking?

I didn't react like it's a fact. Maybe you should get your facts right. My comments were all pointing towards the fact that Newgrounds don't show IDs as that's what i've been told. At no point did I claim that they were being removed from Main, unless you'd like to point out where i did claim it was a fact.

*grin* That is not true either. Like Main, NG shows the ID on the stats page, and has never not shown them. (Except in aforementioned cases where browsers do not show attributes of any page unless you click on the address bar. My Opera, for instance, shows this page as: http://talk.gatewa.rs/posting.php When I click on the address bar, and when I have the page open in Firefox, it shows as: http://talk.gatewa.rs/posting.php?mode=quote&f=101&p=2395346 You see where this goes.)

In any case. Someone saw something they thought was something worth mentioning, and they created a good story around that thing. Disregarding the fact that no one else confirms seeing it, it is a good tale. Had it been true, it would not have been a singularly bad thing. In fact, there is much to say for it. However, given that it is just something someone thinks they saw, and not something that is actually something real, other than a glitch.. there is nothing here.

Ashu, you are to be commended for creating what appears to be a reasonable background to an otherwise insignificant glitch. ID's are not going anywhere.

*chuckles* Also. :smt043 What a thread. It is like talking about a supercharged Higgs-boson. Might have seen it, might not. Might exist, might not. Except in this case, it does not.
Another thing. Phil, stick to single line replies and a decent attitude.. or I will make you revise Best's datacenter safety procedures on New Years Eve. (jaf)
