I wasn't impressed enough to buy it over MW3. Maybe BF 4 will be up to scratch... not that it wasn't a good game.. it's just not a realistic competitor atm.. pretty much everyone I have on xbl (except those oirish noobs from former Nemesis ((love you all))) plays MW3 still, the graphics didn't seem significantly better and more people in an online game just shouts 'how many tits can we get together in one place'.

In short. You should go with the flow on this one. Start bleeting and buy MW3 and play online. XD

Semper with lack of development time and lack of originality the Call of Duty series fails in my opinion. The last Great game they had was 4 and that was 4-5yrs ago? It doesnt ever live up to hype and is almost the exact same game every time. The only reason its played so much is because the lack of skill it seems people have while playing so its easy to become and "expert" at such a game, non-dedicated servers and constant modding and refusal to fix the same security holes there was in the past few games makes it un-appealing to almost everyone i know.

edit 1: The games are also terribly un-balanced, and damage is either to little or too much.
Lack of originality? hahahahahaha.. jesus. What FPS IS original in this day and age? The last one I saw was gears of war back in 2004 or something or I suppose crisis I think it was called where you can remote control your sniper bullets.. the rest since then have just been a similar twist on the same thing.

Why change an award winning set up as well? Hell you play SGW a game that shows you changing something good without very careful planning is only a disaster. I play warhammer and the same happened there. CoD is top dog and has been for half a decade.. why would they put any effort in to change that recipe? I wouldn't if it kept my cost's down i'd be slowly developing on the back burner and as soon as I saw a dent then i'd kick into gear. They've increased their sales on the dot every year and BF3 hasn't even been a threat.

As for it being a good game? Sounds like you got burned playing it on PC. For someone who comes across as being a knowledgeable player here you should know that CoD isn't a PC game anymore it's pretty much made for consoles as sooooo many of the FPS now are (because that's where more money is because it's cheaper to buy a console than a top end PC and internet connection to play it like you can on xbl using a 360). Playing them on PC is a thing of the past and your experience will only suffer trying to bring down something that's evolved beyond PC which is pretty much there for RTS and RPG now.

As for BF3 requiring more skill.. I didn't think so. Was easy peasy to get mediocre-great on that.. the only people who posed any form of challenge (and the same goes for CoD) were the immature tits who run around playing army in clans with their headsets on. Just the same pile O **** with a different name.
Ultimately I think you had a bad experience and it's tinted your view. You say unoriginal, I say practised, working, reliable system that brings home the bacon, why change it? You say unmaintained.. I say you're using the wrong platform, their attention will go where the money is (I could be wrong and you could be on console, in which case I appologise) and that may not be the right attitude on their part, I won't dispute that but this guy is on a console so it doesn't matter in regards to the thread if it is PC. You say lack of skill? I say bigger fan base with more mediocre/bad players to rise to the top of. Play Noobert and he'll school you on what skill is. You say bad bullet damage.. I say poppy **Filtered**.. never had a problem with it and i've been playing it online on xbl for 4 years.

@Clarkey. Why waste money on a game I can rent and complete? I'll not likely play it online as like I said the people I play online with for funzies have MW3, not BF3 so I may as well spend £4.50 opposed to £40. :P
