simple economics: unlimited supply = free goods
it is on the net for download = unlimited supply = free. can't help it. it's free by it's nature, like air.
entertainment sector has to realize that and change it's business model rather then moan and advocate for artificial scarcity.

Exactly!!!

although i'd say its a combination of unlimited supply and unlimited distribution options.(through internet)

All this "you can do this with it but not that," making up new laws left and right, technical terms springing up for "private usage only" to sustain the business.
