I have played the game for 6 years, and recently a few people im good friends with asked me if i was coming back to the game, so i asked a GENERAL question ( sorry if that offended you ) is it worth coming back to the game to PLAY IT, or would i be better off SELLING the account ( like so many of my friends and enemies have done before me have )
Also i am under no illusions that the big $$ players will always dominate, that has been the way since people starting selling and buying, it just seems to be way more of that now that ever before.
You say i come on and slag it off, show me a good trait around here, infact show me 5, there are so many things that have been suggested in the past to make the game a better game, and they have gone unanswered or ignored, the game now heavily pends on how much money your willing to spend, and the FACT is there are better games that are free/paid for that out do this game.
So im a suggest FM that if you have a problem with me, you put me on IGNORE so you cannot see my posts.
I always hear about these "better" text based games and I have yet to see one. And if you mean OGame etc they suck.

He did not say 'text based games', Loki.

Just.. games. Like Angry Birds.

Ironically, was a bit of a bad day...however, maybe I didn't read it right, to me it simply seemed like "This game is turd, what is the point of returning and should I just sell". If I am wrong, I apologise and quite simply say...the game is awesome and always will be. Regardless of what I have said in the past.
No insult taken, go and ask some people what I sold my accounts at and what I bought them at...then I'll giggle at the egg on your face!
I don't have a problem with you in the slightest GC, you know this. In fact I hold you in very high regard as I am SURE you know. Your addition back into the game in my opinion as a ex-high ranking Omegan would be much welcomed by myself and many others.
...maybe in future you should phrase your questions more suitably
Nevertheless, I will enduldge your request for traits:
An amazing community built on friendships of more than 6 years.
Longitivity.
Increasing interest with a new server and fast response then ever before.
Updates in ascended server which are really making a difference and being listened to.
A simple break from RL that makes you smile for an hour or so a day.
Come back and take it easy GC...you'll be surprised how how effective somebody with your massing skills can operate. The account means nothing, it's your ability to number crunch and connectivity that makes you good.
I apologise for my rant earlier. I saw something I don't think you meant. My reading skillz are not always 100%.
PM me if you return

A bit wordy, no?
So to give the definitive answer (like I do).. yes, it is worth it.

really up to you GC, it can be worth what you let it be worth.. are you wanting to play for monetary gain or for the entertainment factor?
Lord Kat for eg has come back after a long break, seems to be doing well at it again ( no surprise there)..

Also everyone who says you can't compete with $ spenders without $ just doesn't have enough dedication. True it's hard and you might lose in the end but no matter what you can literally give them a run for their money.

I spent £500 on a mahogany trouser press last week; an investment with which I am duly pleased. To give the purchase some background, over the last few months I have become increasingly concerned that, although my suits, jackets and ties are always immaculate, the creases in my trousers haven't been anywhere near as sharp as I'd like. I like my trouser creases sharper than a cavalry officer's sabre. I want you to bleed if you look at them too quickly.
When I met up with my friends last Friday for a drink, they were all aghast at my purchase:
Friend A said it was a 'colossal' waste of money. Two months ago, he took out a high interest loan in order to buy a Toyota Prius. Taste issues aside, he already had a perfectly workable four year old Ford KA. For some reason, having a 'good' car is important to him, although I would not have gone into such heavy debt, personally, to acquire one.
Friend B said it was a 'bourgeoisie' waste of money. However, I happen to know that he spends an average of £50 a week on recreational drugs. Not even sure I need to caption that one.
Friend C said I had more money than sense, and was clearly getting paid a lot. I found it odd that he should be the one to use the 's' word given that when we all went out to a strip club for a friend's birthday last November he ended up getting smashed and spending £800 on a 'private' dance.
I don't know where I'm even going with this long stupid post, except to say that (a) I have terrible friends and (b) none of us can really judge the 'worth' of what someone spends their money on because it is a very specific thing to each individual person. I like my trouser press, and I am sure that some people like their stats.

Great post, Mordack. Would have been even better if this thread was about monetary 'worth'.

My post wasn't about monetary worth - it tagged on from what Field Marshall said.
If you want it to be more succinct - then yes, accounts still go for cash - although they have, I think, to be very good accounts. I don't think you can be away from the game for very long and still make a killing on an account.
