Windows not carrying quality products for Mac users has nothing to do with the cost of a Mac machine and everything to do with Windows being a **Filtered**. They do carry Mac versions of their software, but they make sure the software is sub-par and incompatible with Windows users. I've tried Microsoft Messenger, the Mac version of MSN, and it doesn't allow things like the webcam to connect with a Windows user. Don't even get me started on the difference between Office Suites.
Mac OS is not that user-unfriendly. Sure, using them only on rare occasions leaves you confused, but that is because people are used to a different OS. I think it's more user-intuitive than Windows 7.

if you are looking for video connections and chats, I found that the facebook chat and video module work quite well amoungst varying operating systems.

Obviously they won't provide software of good quality for a product made by a rival. It does not make sense business-wise.
The best solution is to find a messenger from a third party that is not owned by either party.

That's because Mac OS sucks. Stop using hipsterware and get a real computer.

This is just plain stupid. Linux more user friendly than Mac OS? My ass! As much as I dislike Apple and it's products, Linux is about as user friendly as a hungry lion.
