Scam once shame on you, scam twice, shame on gw community...should be common sense i would think to not ever trust sumone who is a known liar and thief...but that is just me..
So if Daku borrowed 100t went Inactive for 6 months, came back, paid you with interest and apologised...you wouldn't trust him?
Thats kinda different, where as a few scammers have been active and never reply back to the person they scammed or a scammer who says they will pay it back but always goes offline as soon as the other person comes online.

I am not talking like I know everything.

I think rudy was just using it as an example.
I believe the topic is whether or not someone (anyone) should be considered a scammer, after they make reparations.
Correct, AK is just an example.
In the linked thread, I had posted that AK has scammed in the past and letting the seller be warned of anything that might cause the sell to go bad.
FM says his friend scammed but not no more, Ear says AK scammed, but paid back. But Almost38 scammed Borek out of his account which later was given back, but everyone or seems like everyone(mainly from FS) is quick to call him a scammer and what not.
Even though Almost gave back what he took and AK did the same thing(in way), but yet 1 is called a scammer while the other is not. Though both did give back.

yes because you therefore reduced yourself to the level of the scammer. if someone murdered your partner and you murdered them back you still get labelled a murderer and sent to prison.
Anyway just because someone scammed once doesnt mean they will always be a scammer.

Maybe, but you might be happier that way...just because it's illegal, doesn't mean it's injust. If somebody abused your children for example...morally people might understand if you killed the perpetrator.
I assisted in scamming somebody who scammed a friend of mine, in this very game. I assisted in retrieving an account for my friend, who then gave it to somebody. Morally, yes it is wrong, but I was merely using their own deviousness against them to return the ownership to the original owner.

If you want me to leave just say so, no point staying in a comunity where i try to make up for my mistake yet people try to encourage others not to give me a chance to prove it was a one off.
I know most people will disagree, But i wouldnt concider someone a scammer for what i done, fair enough an idiot, a retard or worse, But i will always, and have always concidered a scammer someone who intentionally takes something with no thought of paying for it.
What i done was wrong, i dont know how many times i can appologise for it, if the comminity agree's then i'll go and not return, just give the word and i'm gone.

Forgiveness and trust are very different things
If someone once scammed, changed there ways, apologised showing genuine remorse over what they had done and repaid those they scammed then I would say YES they could be forgiven and accepted back into the community, counted as a friend or ally.
BUT
Would I trust that person in a trade or to hold resources for me ? NO, or certainly not right away, the doubt in the back of my mind may take a long long time to fade.
Trust takes a long time to build and only a second to destroy
EDIT
The above is NOT directed at anyone specifically, I dont know the details of what AeonKnight did or didnt do.

Relating every scam to each other is a bit ignorant since they all have different consequences and conditions to some degree. Your AK and Almost situation, for example, is very different. I won't go into the details as it'll undoubtedly lead to a lot of flame and frankly I don't care, but the fact is that usually the people involved in the scam (victim, offender, and any outsiders) never truly let it go, or atleast don't for a while. Eare's condition is one of a very few.

There is our dear friend Harchicans, that openly admits scamming more than a handful of ppl, but gets away with things because of his charm.. but more fool anyone that trusts him.
And almost 38, scammed then tried to cover scam by further decete .. he needs to make amends in Borek eyes.. the same way AK has in Eari's.. I thought 38 was an ok guy until he pulled that stunt.
and like AK said to me also scammers are ppl that deliberately set out to deceive and exploit.. eg JockPrincess, Cerridwen and the whole Elladan episodes.

He doesnt get away with it because of his charm, he gets away with because of people like you who continue to humour and glorify him.

<3 ya
And for the record i dont like scammers, i just did it cause i just wanted to prove how easy it was to take 700trill naq from people for free --- nobody lost $$ to me yes the could have sold there naq to someone who intended to pay, but they didnt buy the naq they gave to me from $$ nor the turns they used to farm the naq for $$ so technically i didnt actually scam naq for $$ or make a profit i just borrowed naq on a rather VERY long loan that i should really start setting up some repayment plans
and even with the naq i didnt actually use any of it on me...i gave it to friends for covert levels or for new accounts or for UU
im like Robin hood
