Call me what you want Lithium, words dont hurt me.

If I were Jason and I had a choice of either putting up with you whiners or spending time we my family and kids i'd know which i'd choose.

If this game is going downhill so much why is there not a mass protest from at least 50% of the player base?

Not often do I agree with Lithium, but +1 to the points xDaku and Da Vinci has made. I may not post actively on these forums often, but after playing for 3-4 years and poking around here in that time- the main noticable change is how much the game is slowly going downhill and how people are getting more and more unrestful.

There is no way that atleast half a finger cannot be pointed at admin for this.

first I'd prefer u then Jason to be the owner/admin , at least you are here and hes not. this is a job for him , its pays enough.
second, 131 Players On! , and im sure there are at least 70 players let down , let not count those hundrets that left because of certain updates.

and last if u dont ppl call u names then be polite in yr posts.

spend time with family and kids.. sure an hour of out his day few times a week wont kill him especially when he makes a game could at least have a bit more motivation to keep it going see how hard people have worked ascending farming ect.. hes done it so far feels like hes giving up.

Yea, and I'd rather be with my family than work 40 hours a day to support them, but guess what, you don't use family as an excuse to botch work. Don't make stupid points Clarkey, if he can't handle the game he should sell it off to someone who can.

Sitting there and letting it rot will create unrest.

Maybe when he set the game up 7 years ago, he didnt realise it would last so long. You complain about his lack of interest and activity but not a single one of you know what is going on in his life. Yet because he's not putting the time you expect him to into the game you complain.

If he cant handle the game anymore then he should close it, then you'll realise what you've lost.

+1 on daku sell it on.. to someone who can manage it.. yeah 7 years is impressive, could still make a healthy profit or healthier looking at how many bought these tripple planets :-D

And **Filtered** at admin about the 'downhill slide' (first mentioned in March 2005 and look, we are still here!) is going to help, how, exactly? Do you think admin will even want to show up here with all the garbage he gets thrown at him? :? Make use of the admin chats if you really have that one brilliant idea that will 'save the game'. ;)

Or perhaps he just hire someone who could work on main for him. In fact, i'm sure the are many people with the required skills who would do it for free and/or their love (or indeed addiction) to the game and community. If his time is such a issue, why not pipe up and ask for help. There's no excuse to ignore the problem and just let things drift by.

Because the admin chats make "all the differance" according to many of the older and wiser players of the community. I read once recently that there was one where no one (including admins) was on at all.

I see no idea why he wouldn't come on here (forums) if such things ("garbage") hurts/upsets/annoys him so. He is owner after all, and has to deal with it or atleast say something. If us complaining is such a problem that he can't come on, why shy away rather than just admit he's hit a wall and cannot carry on working like this? He's got forum admins/moderators to communicate with, does that happen at all, and are there ever any messages to ever pass along to the community (as I genuinely don't know)?

The admin chats have not helped, they had immense activity a year ago till a few months ago and nothing good came out of it. That admin chat usage for "the betterment of the game" argument got nullified a long time ago. In the admin chat, and in other ways, a lot of us have given him names, logs, activity times, ratios, etc. for various scriptors in the game. At one point, he's admitted to the likelihood of it being a scriptor and he's done nothing about it. Coincidentally, that scriptor buys turns from the BM by the 100ks.

And Clarkey, it's a business he started, and as a business it's his responsibility to take care of his customers. If he can't, sell it on. Simple as that. Customers aren't in the wrong for complaining about crappy service.

Or do you feel sympathetic for your ISP when your net has issues?

Family always comes first. Maybe not everyone understands such life choices. ;) The admin chats are a privilege, a gesture from admin to us, not an obligation on his (or our) part.

No, he does not have to do anything. Did you read the Terms of Service when joining up, or any thime after? Just in case you did not, check them, before making demands of a non-liable party.
LuBu wrote:If us complaining is such a problem that he can't come on, why shy away rather than just admit he's hit a wall and cannot carry on working like this?
Complaining? You misunderstood me. There is complaining and then there is **Filtered**, which I call 'garbage' not to upset the filter much. One is rational, the other one is bull.
LuBu wrote:He's got forum admins/moderators to communicate with, does that happen at all, and are there ever any messages to ever pass along to the community (as I genuinely don't know)?
Anything J wants to say, he will say. He has no need for mediums.

"It is likely he killed that guy" is not going to get anyone convicted. But yes, when the admin chats had this 'great activity' they were filled with voices shouting this and that, very little consensus. Can you blame admin for not being able to pick out the brilliant ideas from the oceans of trash he has to sort through? Yes.. you can, but the blame lies on our own shoulders just as much.

Not for complaining.. but they are in the wrong when demanding things/services. You skip over the Terms of Service, which you agreed to when registering for this game.
xDaku wrote:Or do you feel sympathetic for your ISP when your net has issues?
Different thing. My ISP and I have a contract specifying what services they are to render to me and the level of quality of service they should provide.

Jason is around. we've talked with him a few times recently...
He's still planning that mass email. Its something he can really only do once, so he wishes to be certain that not only the time is right, but its contents right. it is not a thing to rush.

If he doesn't have to the time to put into the game, for family or other reason, then maybe he should consider other options. It may be a gesture, but this is a service that people are still paying for. I'll bring this up in the moment.

There must be quite a bit of money put into it week by week from players. He could atleast put the minimum effort in to keep on updating the game. The amount payed compared server costs must mean a fair profit in my (and some other's) opinion. What does he want, people to stop paying to give him the iniatitive to improve?

This isn't a demand, but atleast something on his part that can be done for those playing the game, especially those paying. You can understand why people get annoyed and some quit if he can't provide basic updates, many which would take a few hours each week. He has some simple responsibilities if he wants to keep his (already dwindling) user base. Hence why it's going downhill.

Your opinion, and something many of us on this topic wont agree with. Just because for some strange reason you feel compelled to defend him, does not mean our initial complaint is bull and irrational if you don't agree. Why is your defence not bull in that case, as there is no rational reason behind that to us at the moment.

I see that you are speaking for him there, so how can you prove this reasoning. Just because you think this doesn't make it necessarily true (unless he says so). So being lazy or not wanting to is just as a valid as what you say at the moment. Unless you prove otherwise.

I'm sure xDaku, and Da Vinci, can handle their own quotes by you on the subject.
