Maybe that was before my time. But i had plenty of onliners with mathlord, ksm, pef, qacol, blahh and thamuz in the old days. They were different than they are now, but still had to adjust according to who was fighting back

I think he meant the times when onliners weren't such a big fuss.

Onliners became popular during the last server war, there were countless epic ones. :D for those of you that didn't participate in that war, you missed allot of good stuff.

Yeah i see what you mean, i worded it wrong ](*,) , there has always been onliners as you say but not to the point when people would ask for them, or where they became a big part of wars/vendettas, i had never even seen the word until last time i returned

I remember in CoP vs. CIA war I was asked for an onliner though. TL vs. Omega as well.

Didn't mean to make it sound like now is bad. Just not as active as before. If more people came back it would change the dynamic.

I've practically stopped bothering massing anything offline lol. If a guy isn't ready to make an attempt online, he's lost in my eyes anyway.

There are obvious exceptions to this, like anything, but it's a good "self-rule" I guess.

yeah mate! all comes down to personal standards, some 'higher class' players (if you catch my drift) like yourself, will think skill comes from online ability, which i agree it does, but standards back in the day were, smash each others accounts until someone got bored/gave up, sometimes they would last months, my longest was with snow wulf, if anyone remembers him, me and him smashed each others ascended and main for about 4 months until we both got bored and agreed to stop! I remember not having stats and a 20mil army for so long!

I guess everything evolves. As the game goes on and people constantly become better at it, then it's only natural standards go higher as well. So as we go on, we automatically start looking more and more at 'onliners' to measure one's ability to battle.

Would just like to see people play the game the way they did back then. We created politics and fought over real issues (not real life issues but you get my drift.) Alliances were targeted to because they were too powerful, too much a threat. Now alliances seem to fight when someone is insulted, or "friendly" wars are started with picky rules.

Bring back the hostile, hold nothing back, steal all your planets style of war!

well The Faction didn't last long,.. CFE/CF surrendered and disbanned in quick fashion leaving TAF to fight on best they could for a little longer..

CIA lasted better against Cop,

Friendly wars are good for keeping skills fresh, think of them in terms of training exercises.

Arguably the best war with a clear purpose was the Zion one..

People from the old days dont tend to **Filtered** about being farmed.
