Malvinas Argentina!
+1,000,000,000 Barrels of Crude Oil 3000000(Def: 15,000,000,000,000) Island

This maybe needs abit more thought, imagine you take a planet from someone, you auto set war, they come on set you to war destroy your account in seconds with war/war settings, then go on ppt, reset the war settings before it ends.

I could see this being exploited.

That was a bit of the idea behind it .... the ppt usage comment is pointless, as ppts are a valid tactic. The one stealing could simply set PPT too and reset the war 24 hours later

They just have to be a bit more careful in the other 5 days a week they would like to take planets ..

Currently the entire planets and its defenses are as useless as can be, the vast majority in the game sees planets as something to not rely on, cos they always get stolen ... and hardly any repercussion....
We have such beauties of planets these days, duals, triples ... huge income planets

Let the defenses and the taking of it become a bit more of a risk.

Cos islands don't add stats and it's a game :-k
Feel free to let the Hawaiian islands know they no longer need to pay taxes etc ;)

well then... just undeclare war after 24 hours , jesus you make it sound like its permenant #-o

its a good idea, if you take a planet that is an actof war, and should be met with a war setting, if you dont want to risk being massed then ppt afterwards, hell you would think the worlds gone simple :smt115

Oh I don't have a problem with the idea.
Merely the notion that all planet taking is an act of war.

to test your theory that it isnt, im going to take several planets from HVE people and see how many see it as an act of war :-D

If someone buys a planet, I don't think the seller will use the war setting.

I like it to spice up the game a bit, however I dont see a planet steal any more a declaration of war than stealing naq, trespassing in a forum, making a "good raid".

Very good point.

The death of any soldiers. Auto war?

I agree with the author's idea. :)

Oh, and perhaps I misunderstood,
but I thought the author made some concession or clarification

that auto war could perhaps take affect only if the planet thief set war for the planet theft...

and that auto-war would not be set if the planet thief does not set war. :D

Next question: should auto war occur if you declare war but are unsuccessful in stealing the planet? :-k

As for other auto-war ideas:

countries have border skirmishes all the time. ;)

kidnapping... that's a bit more serious, and yet Japan didn't declare war on North Korea. :-)

trespassing, spying... even trash-talking, all those things are common among nations. :)

Umm there is an entire market devoted to planet sales.
Been suggested to allow them to be done via a broker, if you set that up, then it can be done.

Besides, if you LET someone take your planet, chances are, your not going to go after them, despite the war settings...
