But if you reduce the differentials it becomes just that - a prestige thing, but less practically useful ingame. What's the current boost per covert lvl? A doubling every two lvls? Make it a doubling every four lvls. Thus the difference between a c.38 and your c.42 person isn't as detrimental to the game BUT it still gives the bigger guys something to compete with each other on....

But I agree with more a less all of it, as the reason why new players **Filtered** off so quick is that it will take them two yrs to even try get a decent account and that's after they been massed and ridiculed
My account is where it is because of some stupid rich Australian who contributed over $3,000 to my account. I was fortunate. You did some great trading, sure.
Point is, neither of us would be ridiculously bulked if both of those examples were not allowed!

Cap at something more realistic? 39/39, 1mil raw up, etc. But what do these players do with excess naq/uu? I see no problem with continuously progressing the frontier - but the frontier should never be so far distant that the game becomes uncompetitive for newer players. I'm personally against creating ceilings - just not convinced there is then an incentive for long-term players to keep evolving their accounts...
Bring it back, like I said, I would rather take a hit to my account then see the gap and goalposts get even harder. With excess naq/uu, they fight, I don't know. I don't have the answer, all I know is it's ridiculously hard to catch up...6 years to 6 months is a big difference.
The incentive for me was always being more and more efficent, far less losses to kills. I wanted to be the best and I wanted to be greater than anyone here. I achieved some great things - would I have been as successful without external factors? I don't know, my knowledge is great but a whole variety of things could have changed this! I've reached that point, i'm bored of it, same faces. I have no challenge or commitment anymore to the game. The only thing, that would make me comeback is a membership of a couple of thousand and an active community, which is not policed by a bunch a bigots. How is this going to happen? Taking control of ones game and ironing out the things, Admin tried with Newgrounds, the only people on that, is old players from gatewars..

Not gonna happen - there have been many complaints/controversies over the years.
Besides, people often complain that current players aren't mods. Seriously? Can you imagine if a lot of OE or DDE were admins/mods at the moment? Would be bedlam....

With them levels and all .. instead of caps ...
how about something as simple as a barriers between levels .... for instance a 5 levels covert difference barrier 'above' level 30.
effectively meaning, your highest level (AC or C) determines your max, if you have max level 40 ... the smallest level you could hit to sab or ac would be a level 35. But you could hit and mass old school-ish on lower ones.
smaller example: level 36 would only be able to sab or ac people with a max level of 31 or up.

When I suggested a cap over a year ago I was willing to take a hit on my account dropping, I still am. Reducing to max 39/39 would be good, reducing the up to mil max, and therefore forcing planet investment for more, capping ms capacities as well, 750k for each slot? Capping some ascended even, and further enhancing the quest for deities and other achievements..a reduction on accounts and then a cap would be a good thing. And what DD said in conjunction with the cap.
In order to level the playing field..or another way to say it, make sure everyone can play is to implement a scenario based on DD post.

Still think the best way is to reduce the differentials between lvls...

Yes .... that was the intention of the suggestion ...
The idea is that the far higher level would be unable to sab or AC through someones defense with a severly smaller level .. he would effectively need to apply old school massing to beat him or her back. Assuming the higher level likely also has a bigger MS, he already has a better advantage

My opinion Empy, you won't change it and a lot of other people feel the same. There are a couple of people that I hold in high esteem, you are one of them, DD is another, Haz is great, lone dragon, Juliette, Psycho...don't get me wrong, I do appreciate it the work you put in. However, the whole thing is a load of beaucratic **Filtered**! Sure, I may be a sore loser in saying this, but choosing Seph over me as mod? Reasoning? I don't need any, other than people hate the way I do things at time, regardless of my ability to communicate and follow rules. Look at this thread, here's an example of my work. The recently elected mods have dissapeared. I won't justify my answer any futher, right or wrong. This is how it feels.

Then to mass a c.41 with a 100tril def all I need is a c.35 with 0 def and 100tril strike and 0 covert - and he can do absolutely nothing to defend against me?! Nope...

Further, the focus needs to be on new players, and getting new players, and getting them to stay...what happens in wars is the same thing that has always happened, the newer, smaller, less active get beat on from both sides, get sat on, can't hardly play, get discouraged and quit..and the we come back around and worry and whine about losing more players bla bla bla bla **Filtered** bla...we ought to just suck it up and make some moves..
Cap this **Filtered**
Ban account trading
Ban account swapping
Ban multiple accounts but I do think atleast 2 per ip be allowed for family members
Somehow kill the use of proxy
And get this **Filtered** str8 and stop talking about it over and over and over again.

Fair point, and good to point out .... but ... wouldnt catching that persons repair naq become a singe ? and getting team mates with lower levels to ac and sab as easy as can be ? this would force a variety in your alliance members or group too

I would imagine ascenders getting a more important role there too

Try throwing in solutions too

shooting problems is not bad

How about converting the naq "disappeared" from a cap at 39/39 to APP for ascended accounts? Naq "lost" due to cap converted to APP and sent to ascended account even if person is TUK just so they can boost their ascended account as they after all had to spend that naq?
Other ideas: to get it converted to a big big amount of Merlins; to be able to hold two triple planet/buy one more dual from BM than "normal" accounts; get for once the opportunity to have ability to trade in the ingame market for bigger amounts (not limited to 6 trades/week) for a set amount of times/weeks...
They could also be able to spend it on planets stats, mothership, platforms.
