For the record, if a General Mod takes action in a thread where they or their alliance is involved, they are not allowed to Moderate the thread.

However, justified the verbal warning was, it should have been reported and handled by another Moderator (unless it was an urgent issue in severe violation of the rules and no one else was online to handle it).

That is the expectation I have for the Moderators in General, simply to lessen the claims of bias from the users and to minimize my headaches on the issue.

If anyone finds this kind of activity in the future, I do expect the users to create a thread or contact me. The Moderator in question will then be reprimanded, and continued violations of this restriction (where unnecessary) could lead to their removal from General. As this warning was valid, and not a blatant act of bias, it will stand. I'll have a discussion with Stickm@n.
