Me and my mates found this game through GateWorld. Were many great threads on GateWorld back in the day! Lots of garbage too. lol

You would often, in the beginning, see one person bring in lots of friends from his school or college or work or whatever. I remember Skyflame had dozens of classmates start playing in 05...I imagine similar things happened for lots of different regions. Only needed a couple people from one country to tell all of their friends about it and lots would join up.

I also found this game through gateworld. There was a forum thread between gatedialer and someone else over what was the best alliance in the game. My curiosity was piqued and had to sign up.

I found it on gateworld as well. I was browsing the wallpapers and clicked the link to this game..thought it was wierd. Im like WTH is a text based game? not sure I ever answered myself that question.

I think I might have actually had an account back in 05/06 time frame but I only logged on like twice.

how I found this again was I was reading a rumor article about how they were attempting to get funding to make another move and at the bottom of the article had all active spin offs of the series. and this game was listed.

SG was also broadcast around prime-time in the Netherlands years back. Most Dutch players have joined around that time I think, together with ads and links on MMO-websites.

She was on another StarGate forum, "Stargate Rebellion" and some guy told her about this game(think his ingame was avenger or vengeance something like that). She started playing around Aug 05, and I started Oct 05. Couple of our RL friends also played, but not seriously and all gone by 07ish.

She is the massive SG fan, (used to have a massive crash on Daniel).. I've only seen snippets of it when she used to watch them (endlessly).

here (Australia) stargate had a quite a fair fan base i think... well, enough to be played on prime time TV for 10 years twice a week between the 3 series' anyway...

I started looking a stargate fps that was apparently in the works, my hunt ended here -.-

Yeah it was huge over here, Hell i went out and spent $350 on the limited edition 10 season box set of SG1 when it came out. It was a hard find as there was only a limited amount printed/made for australia. I know most of my high school mates are huge fans of it. I still remember the very first ep I watched. There also used to be a lot of aussie players for this game sadly a lot of them have quit.

Never knew it was so massive overseas. I just finished downloading all 10 seasons,(sorry Odie, I refuse to pay even the 100$ the non-limited edition box set is now ) and while I watched the first season, I skipped over a majority of the season 2 episodes, only watching the main Goa'uld storyline episodes.

I'm on season 3 episode 2(My episode ) and this show is definitely a nostalgia trip for me. I'm looking forward to the arcs like the Anubis Invasion, Daniel's ascension and subsequent descension, Ba'al clones, and the First/Second/Third/Replicarter that I never got to see back in the day, when my episodes were dictated by TV

...but seriously, was playing another MMPORG called Nuke Zone, got bored, searched, saw this site, loved the film (never tried the series), tried it out. Been here 8.5 years.

I'm just doing the tv shows now, got to S05E01 yesterday
