I must be playing a different game than you and Jix. I just tested to be sure I'm not crazy. (I only have a minimum attack for while I'm rebuilding from ascension so don't laugh at my attack.)

I actually did just a tad less with the 15 attack turns, and yes I repaired my weapons inbetween. I have never seen a difference between 1 turn attacks and 15 turns attacks, and I've used a fair bit of both. The damage was the same even with a multi-billion attack that I had pre-ascension.
