that is so true, i cant get my head around why every one trys to shot down every good idea!!!!! i am so happy that it has come at last now i hav some thing diffrent to do yay
the fool
probably because you haven't been here that long! A lot of ideas (including some of the things in the latest updates) make the already powerful accounts even more powerful more quickly - while it also makes it more difficult for the newer, weaker accounts to catch up.
This Hangar and Fleets thing for example - the rich and powerful players will find it extremely easy to have hundreds if not thousands of Fleets straight away, yet some weaker accounts will struggle to get a dozen or so together. Therefore the stronger accounts will be able to conquer and steal planets more quickly - and steal them from the weaker players. And, once they have them, they can afford to build up defences on them, so that the weaker players cannot steal them back.
I'm not saying I don't like it - just pointing out the shortfalls.
It's all about the gap between the powerful and the weak - and some updates (including the one I just mentioned) serve as an exponential increase in that gap - and that can't be good for the game.

and i like the new idea of fleets its cool
That's a little naive - like I said, a lot of teh updates widen the gap (exponential increase in teh gap) - meaning that, unless the more powerful player doesn't bother with his account for a while, the gap becomes impossible to decrease.

Wolf, the hanger thing the top players will be able to steal some planets at a very high cost....
But, once they have 10 planets they will have hangers and fleets that are now useless.

True - but they will be able to do it quicker than anyone else, and reap the benefits before anyone else - then they will be able to build up defences before anybody else to ensure that their planets aren't stolen - whereas the weaker players will not be able to.
So, while the powerful players will be sat their with their nice 10 planet systems, the weaker players will be struggling to maintain and protect a couple of planets, while fighting with each other to steal each others - since they will have no chance of stealing one from a powerful player.
And - the fleets will not become useless as every now and then the powerful players tend to hit at each other - so if they lose a planet to another powerful player - what is the easiest option? That's right - steal one from a weaker player!
Just my viewpoint of course.

Honestly, they will always be on top.
Some of those Naq per turn and UU per day up there are way beyond what any raider could catch up with even without the delay.
I don't think anyone is going to stand by and allow their planets to be stolen without a protest. If mine was I would consider it like being bashed and respond in kind.

Eh all you can really do is wait for someone to get a planet and see what happens.
I think that everyone should at least try and have fun with this game. The pesimists are a little draggy and need to learn to have fun.
Come on guys give it a try and be good sports about it.

I agree - and I will have fun trying the new things out - but people only toend to see why an update is good or bad for them - they do not take the wider populace into account - which is what I have attempted to do.

I could not agree with you more Wolf. Most people are only viewing how they play the game, and do not care about game balance one little bit. Just give them another way to be on top. This should be the first consideration before any of the other whinning that goes on after every update "that is the worst ever and is going to destroy the game, blah blah blah"
