The palnets don't work as MS destroyers either, my defence of 1.2 Billion caused a total of 60 Million to a MS which attacked me hardly worth it.
Put it this way I will not be investing any more time and effort on these expensive playthings

People... stop bringing up the UP planets... those provide a decent bonus... we are talking about the planets that produce naq.
now the point should be taht as is... the naq produced by a planet per day... is LESS than the naq that it costs to upgrade that income... Everytime that I upgrade that sucker... it takes a day to 2 days to pay itself back....
do the math... to get anywhere near a decent income (a mere 5 mil a day) you need something foolish like billions of naq... that could take at least a year to pay itself back... Its a horrifically poor investment... Does that really make sense?

ur forgetting a huge factor in this.....some plp already have like 8k fleets...i have 6k hangers....why pool money into it when u can steal it....and whne u steal some of the stats goes poof

income planets...i hjave one but not for income...but for the extra stats it provides me...its like a invicnable attack wep that never gets damaged....great for raiding...it isnt worth it...and hwat i dont understand is this


it takes 12,500 miners to equal 1 million naq....and right now my income planet produces tat much....imho....its not worth it.....why invest something that ur not certain that u can keep it...and as for defence.....pfhhhhh its not going to cacth up fast enough with ppl like me or better with 5k+ hangers ready haul ur planets off

to you maybe, but there are people that make more than 2 billion per turn... what good are ANY of the planets to them?

edit:
additionally, in the planets' current state, they really are pointless... it costs more to upgrade/protect than it is worth... I have yet to see the point of dumping my hard earned naq into any of my 5 planets because it is just easier and cheaper to get the same upgrades by upgrading my account the old way.

if you think tacticly planets can be usefull with no investment at all to a weaker player with a minimaly equiped mothership

step 1: collect ten income planets steal explore ect the reson you want income planets is if you cant defend one get the ones noone wants one

step 2: enjoy a 1000 bonus to your up +100 per planet and if neone is silly enough to steal one you wont need a high fleet streangth to take income planets as NOONE puts def on an income planet

now i know a 1k UP bonus is not that big but to smaller players that can be a real boon and as everyone keeps saying they are just for the rich and powerfull i think this shows you can always find advantages if you look hard enough lol
