: for the ones who know who Madcat is...
He had an UP of about 56k. And then he ascend for the FIRST TIME
Costly
Don't remember what it did cost him, but I thought about 500-600k of UU, a lot of Super and Regulars soldiers and several billion naq

Man, I don't know if I should laugh or feel sorry for him. Your commander should really advice you not to overdo your UP unless you're not planning to get glowy, but I'm guessing not many commanders go "Um... it's nice that you give me that much UP, but don't overdo it". I adviced my officers to stop at 3.5K-5K if they intend to ascend for the first time. It's really your choice though, there are pros and cons to both that I'd rather not discuss since it's borderline rule 16.
Yes, Silk, I'm can be obvious (or sarcastic, more like) from time to time. Glad I achieved what I intended... but I don't indulge in one-liners and I don't intend to make this thread go off-topic, so please keep your one-line personal comments to PMs.

I used to have 8k up, but then I stopped playing and that gone to trashcan, now it's a pityful 2.1k
