This idea has potentel, but only if done correctly.

I think it could be great if used with the alliance war proposal.

Have an 'alliance army' of forces that everyone in an alliance has donated.

The alliance leader would be in direct command of that force.

Think of it like a system lord's realm.

System lord has smaller Gou'ald under him.

They have their own personal forces as well.

War comes up, and they are required to send forces to the system lord.

The system lord (alliance leader) directs the assembled fleet and forces in the war.

Rest of alliance, and system lord, still have their own personal forces too.

Still have people fighting 1 on 1 (or multiple on 1 in cases of mass attack/sab)

However, you have the alliance armies fighting in a massive battle.

Prehaps have a 'fleet engagement' first, with actual stratagies open to the alliance commander, with drastic consequences, as motherships and fighter squadrons (called fleets for some reason) will actualy get destroyed.

Have the alliance commander be able to determine things such as what formation the ships are in (weather or not send the weaker motherships in first, to almost certain doom, or send stronger ones in first with weaker ones mopping up behind)

Also allow stratigic use of the fighter squadrons..... do they go in advance of the fleet, weakening it and its fighters.... do they split up and attack and defend, do they all remain with the fleet in general, do they just defend their mothership...

For the formations have, based on what distribution of strength was picked, the ships automaticly formed up in an order, and as the engagement goes on, report by player name and ship name what dammage is done and recived, and what ships are destroyed for good.

Once the battle is over, the ships limp back for repairs. The Alliance commander, thru the alliance fleet screen (would have to be added to alliance management) would see not a standard moship interface, but rather something like from the armory screen, Mothership name, owner of it, dammage%(based off of dammaged weapons/sheilds maybe add hull integrity for this alone ?).
Fighter strength would be below each mothership.

Have it be something like this (note: once again I call the fleets fighters because thats what they are)

Enterprise 59% damaged repair cost-15 billion
Fighter squadrons: 113/239 resupply-349 million
Defiant 12% damaged repair cost-1billion
Fighter squadrons: 0/465 repair cost- 3 billion

Have the same general things for ground forces and repairing and remanning/resupplying them. For the ground forces have attack+attached anticovert operatives (and a check box for weather or not to send them when attacking/defend/covert

It would proably be wise to implement an alliance bank as well, to finance something like this.


And yes, I know it would 'Like, OMG!, make the strongest stronger, but thats going to happen no matter what. This would simply add a new side to the game, with more to loose.

yea, this would be gr8t!leader of an alliance would choose how much naq would go into it for resuplyin troops and repairing MS

what about, keeping all of the alliance members troops separate on their game screens, but on the alliance screen, making all of the alliance memvbers troops put together, so you have 1 huge massive army, with every troop from the alliance in it (not taking away from any of the members own troops though, just copying the troops into the separate alliance page) so entire alliances troops can fight each other.

all you would do is add everyones troops and power in the alliance alltogether to form 1 big army with every members ms and attack force.

(___'s alliance brings 15 motherships and 458 million super troops, dealing 89274507 damage to the enemy army.)

(____'s alliance brings 21 motherships and 684 million super troops, dealing 948274028 damage to the enemy army.)

that could be what the attack log says when the army fights, although obviously more detailed.

wat u talking about they all ready are invincible and can't be beat so yea we need help to get some more power well at least the lower accounts anyways theres nuthink rong with wanting a quicker way to get more power to catch up to the better players, not better than them just a way to hav more of stab in the side rather than bashing em over the head


not to spam up this thread but you guys have missed what makes omega so formidable, its not the strength of their accounts but the strength of their dedication and resolve.

anyways...i think its a bad idea.
