Well there'll always be the power players, Which I consider myself to be one of. Now I don't use my turns really and never will, but I've place so much time in variuos forms of statistics in the game to let it go, and I've appreantly have been here too long to be bothered with the "upgrades" against cheaters. Now most who come here in the forum are likewise very dedicated players, and will take alot more then some hassle about how fast you can spend 5000 attack turns to mass a guy. What I wonder is more what about those that, haven't become dedicated enough to join the forum yet. Those that quit becourse of some form of increase in complexaty for playing. I promise you they woun't post here, now I'm asking questions on their behalf. One way to have a better look at them are to look closer to those "_deleted_XXXX_" accounts, even try to look close at the ID's, mine is in the 60k's, what is the number now compared to the number of active account. Appearently some do quit the game, I think it's more then just a few, I think we're talking some 5-10% counting accounts. I have an idea that some of the ID's are reused even, that will make the number of quitter go higher.
What really worries me is those accounts that have been active a long time, that quits. I for one don't thing they quit becourse of the lack of time to play the game, nor cheaters, that leaves (in my eyes) these anti-cheating upgrades left. Which makes me ask are they worth THAT price?

A fun thing, though very usefull to the admins, would be a standard survey send to all quitters, asking why they quit.
The reason they quit has meaning in some way, but deciding upon which bad feelings for the game to ack upon, that's a though one. Of course there's the whiners and cheaters that can't have their way, those are strictly for the trash can, or "Juhuu, we effectively stopped a cheater" reward. But all the others would have a real issue with the game, that could be improved stopping simular styled players from quitting.

I for one have a very uniqe style of play here, so far I haven't been stopped at playing with this style, but say the "income pr Turn based on units" disappeared, unlikely but could happen. I would be blocked from my playstyle, having to reinvent the game or simply quit. And with the overall complexety the game have now a days, I really don't want to start from scratch again, already wasted 1,5 years figuring out everything I wanted to know. Now that I've seen the ascended server, I have no goals left.

And no I'm not asking for the game to change back to some former state, I've adapted to the game as it is, any upgrades/downgrades will still have the same effect on my playing and the "upgrade" I thrust to have some form of benefit to some people. And ofcourse it will evolve futher, just think back to the time you join the game and remember what it was back then. I'm sure you like it better now then if it reverted back to that stage. Any 3 months old account must agree to this I'm sure.

well you would notice that looking at all the threads about people quitting you would see the reason for the big players

quite a few are leaving because of the new realm damage that is stopping people from been able to mass

some are leaving because they desided to try real life out

and of course the people quitting in the game are mostly just people who got massed or found a better game to play

also can you use like paragraphs or something that just seperates it out a bit makes for an easyer read then a wall of text

So basisly:

1. I'm ranting or whining.

2. All my thourghts are already considered / out dated.

3. I'm rambling endlessly to deaf ears.

4. The only one actually reading this thread is "The Lord of Chickens", meaning I should stop posting in this thread, maybe read the rest of the forum.

5. I'm too little involved in real life.

Guess that sums it up nicely. hmmm :)

How exactly - did you not read my other post?.....

Since at least week 2 of teh game you have had to input 3 pieces of data:

Username
email
password

Now you have to do 4 pieces of data:

login code
Username
email
password

How is going from 3 to 4 doubling the complexity?

I sriously can't believe that there are some people who are so wound up about spending 3 seconds to type in 3 numbers - especially when it is done so in an attempt to stop cheating.

I think that's his point - how far are we gonna have to go to prevent cheaters. But that's not such a pressing matter yet, as the login code and time limit on login sessions should prevent most of the scripters. Perhaps we should worry about how much further we should go with anti-cheating measures if/when the cheaters get past this one.

I suggest you take yourself to play Kings Of Chaos. I wonder if you'll complain about TGW after ten minutes on that.
