What would this achieve though? To what end or what purpose would this serve. Instead of people going on PPT for the weekend, or away from the computer for a couple of days, they would just go on vacation mode. Instead of using PPT, people will use vacation mode. The difference is that in vac mode, if you come back or want to play earlier than 48 hours you can't. In PPT you can still log on, direct funds, send messages, etc. I think doing away with it would aggravate people, and possibly drive them away from playing. Is the problem then with people who gain large sums of money while on PPT? If so, that is something that is avaliable to all players. The only limit is how many miners or lifers you have when on PPT, and is possible for someone with a newer account to make a lot when on PPT.

What about those who are just starting up and need a little break from the game? I remember when I started, it was great to get to PPT status and to finally have that option...it was something like a goal to achieve. A lot of newer players don't have market SS, much less the resources to attain it. Would this create further divisions between newer players and more experienced ones? How would this prevent large players from using PPT, which I think was what you are leaning towards(fairness issue), if it's only avaliable to those with market ss? A lot of the larger players already have market ss and 500 million is peanuts to them.
J.S. wrote:3. ...limit it to once a week and seperate it form the market trades.. Unless they pay for it then allow them to go on continuas PPT
I think there are already limits on PPT. I'm going from the Game Updates page, and haven't really played in about three months(prior from this week...so if there'e newer info. about it I have not read it yet). How are you thinking of separating it for the market? I assume they would have to give something to get PPT, and the market is in place for that. What function would it serve to seperate it from the market trades? If you can't have attacked anyone for two days to be on PPT, and are limited to twice in a week, how would reducing it to once a week made it any easier for newer players? Even if everyone is only allowed to go on it once, the large players would still be at an advantage over the smaller players. It doesn't seem like the homogenization you are trying to achieve(from stratification) would not be served. It would just reduce PPT for everyone.

You now need to refrain from attacking others for 2 days, and not having used vacation/PPT for 2 days, before you can use the vacation option.

Opposed to 8 PPT per month, the limit has been changed to 2 per calander week.
This means each week you have a total of 3 possible trades/donations - only 2 of which can include a PPT bonus item.
J.S. wrote:4. Have a rule where everyone inside the top 1000 (OR G&R places) cannot go on PPT...decide whats more important being protected...or ascension...can still go on vacation mode though
Ascention and PPT are two separate things(not counting what you get after ascending). They, from my understanding, were created separately, and have no real play one one another. For example, I've been a good ways past the 1000 mark, and have had a large number of g+r points(still do sorta), and never went on PPT(only on it right now, and I'm well below 1000 in standing). Not once, above the 1000 mark(in ranking or g+r points) did I venture onto PPT. Being past 1000 doesn't necessarily mean you will be on PPT more. If there is this choice it would be almost like forcing people to ascend, in that if you reach a certain goal/standing you lose a benefit that people lower than you have. There are those players that choose to not ascend, and it would be like penalizing them for not doing it. There is no requirement that all players must ascend after playing in main. There is no incentive to get any better if you are penalized for not ascending.
J.S. wrote:6. If both people are set to war the PPT becomes null and void, that way if someone does attack/mass/sabb you and hides on PPT you can set them to war and mass them back...
Lets say we are at war with each other. Since PPT is invalid for us we cannot run and hide, but, that means that you can't be at war with anyone. If PPT doesn't work if you are at war with someone, then you have to be at peace, or neutral, with players to use it.
Did you mean that someone you are at war with can attack you when you're on PPT? What happens if you haven't attacked them(or anyone) in two days, and you decide to go away for the weekend on PPT, and then you are attcked by someone you are at war with. You didn't make the first strike, but aren't there to defend yourself. So it isn't that one is hiding on PPT, but a first strike was against you by an ememy when you're on PPT. The only way I could see to solve this is to be at peace(or neutral) with everyone before PPT. That way you're prevented from this occurance of being hit first when you haven't initiated a new battle.
There might be people who cycle through their enemy list to find people on PPT to hit them first invest in strong defense and sit back, or it would force someone to lose the resources they put into PPT, if they are hit by an enemy when their on PPT(same scenario as above...we're at war, I'm on PPt for two mintues now, you attack me and now I'm out of it...what happens to the resources I spent for it...I lose billions for 2 min. of PPT).
Also, there are people on my enemy list who have declared war on me from Dec. for having lots of naq out on PPT. We have never attacked each other, just declared war for naq out. At far as I'm concerned we're at peace, or neutral, why should that be somehting that prevents me from PPT now?
The update that I quoted above also prevents people from the 'run and hide' tactic, in that it requires people tohave not attacked for 48 hours to be on PPT.
