i've noticed this bug countless times.
even if i got a spy skill 1000 times (yes really a thousand times) larger and a person has 2 planets. I encoutered that i spied 8 times but the only thing i ever got was ??? on all stats of planets. and now don't come telling me that my spy isn't high enough

That happens - getting ???? is not a bug - and it is exactly the same as if a planet has a name - it just seems taht spying isn't as effective when used on planets.

Exactly.

I think you got this wrong wolf. There is a legitimate bug.

If a person has only one planet, and it's name is a space, then it does not show up in spy logs at all. Under Planets, on the logs, it simply lists nothing.

In addition, in the drop-down menu of the steal planet screen has no entries.

I know because I have encountered this bug before, as well as heard many reports of it.

Thank you Maniac this is exactly the bug i was talking about. making it so no one can leave a planet name as a blank will prevent that bug from being exploited. its easy to steal a planet change the name to a blank space then cranking up the defense in your spare time which goes against the point of being able to steal it in the first place.

I still have yet to be convinced - perhaps if one of you could pm me the name of someone who has such a planet I could check it out - if it is true then it belongs in Bugs, not suggestions.

i thought it just didn't display anything in logs but in the drop down menu, blank planets appear blank but are selectable and therefore attackable

ive encountered somehting like that, when a person has only 1 planet, has no name, and when i spy on them, under:

Planets

it says nothing, no planet, no stats, just nothing, as if they dont even have a planet.

but i can attack the plnaet, just cant spy on it. (also only encountered it when they have only 1planet, not 2 planets or more all with no name).

that would be the ghost planet bug when the guy only has one planet...but seriously, planets should be hard to recon

They are but that doesn't mean there has to be a way to completely hide them. If they are going to incorperate that then they should included it as an extra technology that you can buy for your planets. The more planets you have the more costly it is but you have to have atleast two or three to be able to buy it. But what does it matter i don't play for the game so my opinion only counts 10% as much anyways.
