I had a friend that used to call me that on occasion. I guess I reminder her of the character.
I think I've posted before in other threads about my name, but I'll do so again here. Hitokiri is japanese, meaning assassin. I started using it in while playing counter-strike long ago (around beta 4 iirc) because it fit my playing style. At the time, I sucked at FPS games, so the only way I could get kills was to work my way around behind people and hit them from places they weren't expecting. I became very good at using strategy to ambush my opponents and started using Hitokiri to reflect the fact that I didn't just rush every round. I eventually became better (nowhere near profesional level, but a high end pub player or low-mid level amueter), but kept the handle as I still liked to "out think" my opponents to give myself the advantage in any given firefight. I've been using it ever since.
And for the record, I was using Hitokiri before the anime Kenshin was popular and everyone and their brother started using it ( I think it was 2 years before I saw anyone else use it, in the last few years it was not uncommon for me to see a few a week). I just refuse to give up my handle because a bunch of other people thought it was cool. I figure it'll eventually fade from view and I'll have it mostly to myself again.

Lol, I should edit that to make it be where your name originates from...feel free, Klorel, to mention the historic significance of your name

i am the original greek god of death, Thanatos. (not to be confused with Hades, lord of the underworld). most people haven't hear of thanatos though, cuz the stupid romans got rid of him when they stole greek culture and changed all the names.

Ever read Piers Anthony's "Incarnations of Immortality"? The first book "On a Pale Horse" is about death, who goes by the name Thanatos. Good series.

my name is terribly orginal... It's my name Backwards... hehe, Tnarg is non other then Grant.... but I've made a backstroy about my character hailing from a backwater goa'uld breeding planet and took a host and left through the gate to inslave a primitive planet which over time evolved enough to build me a ship which I then conqured other worlds with, once Ra discovered Earth I, as well as thousands of other goa'ulds migrated to earth and posed as gods, Tnarg took the role of god of the native indian people of north america which has not become the country of Canada, his animal avatar is the Grizzly bear. (hence Sokeks nice bear picture in my signature)
