would a possible solution be to have the game, when one creates an alliance, automatically set ones commander to be oneself?

I have helped many Omega members in rebuilding after an ascension by being their officer to increase their UP while they rebuild.
I think that if youa re the in game alliance leader and you wish to join someone within your alliance to help them out it should let you.
But I agree with the statement of not being able to take on a commander from outside your own alliance.

It doesn't change old relations, which means I'm still alright. I think self-commander should be possible in any circumstance, I see no reason to deny it to alliance leaders.

I dont get why the hell it even matters if you are your own commander when you are a leader of an alliance or when you make someone else your commander and you lead your alliance. Its not like this game follows any other real life things.

didnt see this topic this morning and posted my own
i think u should be able to have a commander from outside the alliance or inside or self commander becasue whats the point in not being allowed to have a commander as alliance leader
a commander has no power over the officers alliance, he cant influence it without his officers consent and the officer system and the alliance system are completly seperate and always have been it makes no sense not to be able to have a commander and be alliance leader and it dosnt
so please forum let pple have commanders and be alliance leader at the same time it not being able to have a commander only effects the alliance leader negativly it dosnt do anything good to anyone and even dosnt benefit the commander either

But having no Commander comes with an income bonus as well
Anyways, I'd say this restriction is pointless, not that I really care, as if I was leading something, I'm quite comfortable with the splt UP/Income bonus of having no commander.

But well I would really love to see it change, I mean, being officer of someone in other alliance

I have a new idea about it.
You choose ONE particular player in the game, make him/her your commander, but if you leave him/her, only able to have no commander/yourself commander...and this unique thing could be broke by you ascending and/or passing leadership getting it back:
BUT ONLY IF THE CHOSEN PERSON DISMISSED YOU.
In other words you choose one person out of your alliance, but that means you can't leave him/her for other person, like that it is true allegiance

==>the automessage has then no real purpose

.
Btw if you leave the person for yourself commander or if he/she ascends you can rejoin him/her after
Good idea?

No one thinks my idea is cool & fair regarding to Alliance leader duties?
