Meh, if we didn't exist, why would you be responding to us? Maybe we're bots? Regardless, for you to 'converse' with us, we must exist, even if only in your own mind.

hmmm maybe talking to you on msn with webcam on and you seeing we type while time passes?

not nessesarily. if you do exist in my own mind then you are me, so u dont exist..YOU woul djust be me and hence that does not prove to me that YOU exist, it just furthers the point that i have a wonderful imagination...and i myself exist, or my mind at least. but then i woudl have to move to deside if/can there be a difference between what goes on in my head..and what goes on in reality..but this is all....very thought provoking..so..ill leave it at that..and just lets see if anyone else can answer it...

its quite simple and complex, scientifically.

in order for us not to exsit, you must first know that we exsit and disprove that we exsit.

therfore we must have exsited orginally.

alternitvly you would have to define what exsiting is.

alternitivly, kill ourselves so that we no longer exsit, thus when we were alive we exsited.

again alternativly, we dont exsit we mearly are alive. thats a hard one to get your head around.

lol..does not prove to me you exist...can certainly prove to yourself you exist..for all i know you could just be a silly illusion (not that ur silly at all) made by a malevolant demon..(if u want to start using descates)...and I think. I am...can be disproved by simply saying what about wen im in a coma or asleep and i dont think..do cease to exist? u can twist it though to make it correct.

also does it end when we die? we kill our physical form...the question would arise..do we have a soul etc etc...

And all of that stuff appeard on my philosophical studying lessons few weeks ago.
But I think with Descartes path you only can be sure you exist, you dont know for others, as they can be indeed illusions made by a demon

but it dosent answer the original question..one has successfully answerd it so far. the rest are being to complicated.

when you sleep you still think

we know very little about the coma state, although some evidence has been found that there is brain activity, perhaps even co-heasive thoughts.
so a coma cant be used as an example

do u always think whilst u sleep? i think not...(lol)...a figment of my imagination...that proves...that what you do exists in my imagination...it does not prove that YOU exist. only the effect of an apparent thing in my heads effect exists in my imagination..and then the question would come that is something in your imagination in existence? i imagine a purple kangaroo...does it exist purely because i imagined it? when i say you..i mean..your..your essence.your soul...your character...what make you you. a physical body can be doubted to much.

anyway..ill drop the answer now. Demondim got it. The answer is..not matter what you say...you can never prove to another human being that you trully exist, its impossible...there is always doubt that can be thrown into it..to stop the proof, Ill admit..im not the greatest philosopher..and it is..in a few cases beyong my capabilities to prove you wrong, but in philosophy it is not possible to prove your existence to another being, there is nothing you can do.

so the answer is..."No you cant prove it."

and on that note...ill be taking my leave 4 days early. goodbye ya all! I was right as well you have to have faith in that persons existance to think they exist and since proof denies faith...get it? If you prove it its not true
