Planets are an equalizer in this game - you can have them, but they're LUXURIES and you have to pay for them. You can play the game entirely without them and planet whiners SHOULD do this. This talk of changing the rules of the game because it doesn't please you personally is laughable. In the same vein, I could ask for a new rule that automatically reduces to zero stats anybody that masses me, because it's irritating when people mass me. This is one area of the game where the top ranked players can't distance themselves so easily from the 'general population', so to speak, and diplomacy plays a bit more of a role in maintaining this resource than sheer brute force.

There's already been a 2hr wait time implemented, and I'd say it's mostly to placate players such as yourself who've whined about this. I see this benefitting mostly strong players who have the resources to mass people stealing from them, and not the poor soul who's just had some front-page alliance member steal the new planet his MS just discovered, because he can't retaliate without being massed anyway. So, any delay is a game feature that benefits mostly people who have no right asking for help.
