You know how I feel about you Geisha, your wise beyond your SGW career. The only thing I would like to point out to the community is this. Omega acted on valid information that a strike was comming. You can't blame them for that. I would also like to point out 1 very simple fact(Well I can't honestly speak for non DDE members) any alliance or group in this game CAN war with any member of CoP. All you have to do is be open. Announce your declaration. State your reasons if its nothing more then "We wanted to test our war machine and feel said alliance is the opponent for us". Be respectful even if your opponent is not and have fun. Lots of our newest members were the true warriors who proved themselves on the feild of battle.


I agree on some points Geisha, but whats the difference between the formation of CoP and a full NAP between the alliances? Even with a NAP if DD is surprise attacked and need assistance the full force of DDE would be there on a moments notice. There really is no difference.


My question to the community is this.

oh my post has nothing to do with the Omega - EPA war. I had been thinking about this a while and then after I had talked to another person on msn today who is leaving the game, someone I really don't want to see leaving... so I thought I might as well post some thoughts about it...

I represent a community known as SGW Minus CoP and I wish to apply to CoP I have roughly 50,000 players interested in joining!!

We are good enough players and feel that when we join CoP we will work towards the ultimate goal of decimating every player who joins the game..

We wish to ensure that no non CoP army size rises above 10 as they are a potential threat!! And of course destroy any one who thinks they can threathen us even though they clearly do not have the power to!!

what we need in the game is random events, not to mention a new goal objective.

The problem you have is that the game is no longer about stargate as everyone rushed off to ascend and to become an ascended race to get full stat benefits etc.

now back in the old days it was great to have 'RACE' wars and it added alot more fun to the game, now its all about who can get the biggest army and make the most money from the game..

when there is nothing left to achieve what is the point in playing?? yes you have two big alliances then attached to them their newer sister alliances, problem is there is no one left to attack as they have all looked to join the great alliances and worked on their stats to get there - but where do they go then ?????

I was enjoying reading this till this post, this one I do not understand the need for it but there you go.

Even inside the GA we thought we were to big and too strong, thats is why we disbanded and formed the Cop, not because any of us really needed it, but because we wanted to stay friends and play the game we always wanted to.

perhaps the ongoing war with the EPA will change the balance of power, perhaps not, but when the EPA were not involved in the new CoP the EPAC formed and should have re-stored that balance, but we shall see, it is the time of change now perhaps, I guess we will see what happens over the next few weeks

As a final note in my alliances (not always Omega) I have always been in the GA or the CoP since formation, so to be fair I cannot say what it is like on the other side of the fence as it where, but the GA formulation and the Cop enactment has only been brought to bear Twice I believe. Once against the Liberal Coalition, another coalition of alliances, and then again in the CF war where they had their coalition of alliances

i stated when CoP was formed that i didn't see the need for such a thing...

the alliances of CoP don't "need" each other to stand up for them. they are strong alliances in their own right. the only ones that could really upseat them, are the full EPAc, and themselves.

and that was just without the CoP pact. the CoP pact has in my mind, always been excessive. but i respect my leaders in my alliance, and for them, i have accepted it.

When you calm down and get over this maybe you will understand what I'm trying to say JS. Or maybe I can find a better way of saying it.

I have been in a war against the cop, well, sections of the cop, and i believe ive faught against all the alliances of that, and the GA at some point, as well as fighting with some of them, as well as being friends with most of them...And hopefully, respected by many, as i do to them. What people dont seem to understand is that "getting one over" on any member of the cop, is some form of victory, for example, if your a small alliance of maybe 20, and the cop takes you out, and you manange to remove 40 defences of theres, thats a victory to you, though the war cannot be won, the battle is, is it not? As for decimated, I and several hundred (perhaps thousand?) Players still stand . However, If i where to play devils advocate, DD and Omega would be an interesting war...if i where devils advocate that is

If you fight and win a battle against the CoP it is a pyrrhic victory, meaning that you won, but at devasting costs.There is no way for you to win the war.

If your looking at costs, the costs of a 30 billion strike i took out about 10 to 15 5-25 bill defences in a recent conflict on that strike alone, only retraining soldiers for it twice, thats got to be a victory has it not?

really.... I am gettnig confused as to whether you support Omega at the moment Lore, perhaps it is not what you type it is our understanding, that is your second post where I have felt that you are almost cheering Omegas opposites on, and inviting people to attack us.

I see this post as providing an opportunity for both CoP and Non CoP members to objectively debate how we can improve the game.


The Game is now at a stalemate (Game Over) and has been for some time.

I congratulate Geisha on one of the most astute posts that I have read on these forums. Clearly he is an honorable and loyal member of both his Alliance and the SGW Community.

My personal opinion is that Monopoly is a dull board game. Sadly, SGW has become modern day version of Monopoly. We log on, pass GO, collect our naq and try not to land on Tax.

I look forward to the day that Powerful Alliances realise that they can actually succeed on their own, without needing to own all the hotels on the game board, for all the reasons so eloquently articulated by Geisha.

Ahem. I've got like.....erm..... maybe a stupid question. What does CoP stand for? And besides Omega, who are in it? I know I've been way out of the loop on political developments in this game. Since the formation of the GA, I no longer really care. I just go about my business blissfully unaware of their existance. I've got a strange feeling all this trouble you people are having with them is somehow triggered by your incessant need to mass people or go to war with them.
