i would like to suggest a more random influx of merces within a turn (e.g. this turn at minute 8, next turn at minute 24, then 16th aso) -this way not all player will try it at the same time (less page traffic), tamper users will have a hard time and 24/7 players will definatly benefit from it :)

I agree 100%. Have the same amount appear every 30 minutes, but have them appear randomly, and not all at once.

as far as we know, using things like tamper data is not cheating, as cheating would require to use less naq in buying, or creating things or resources... but it is rather unethical to use tamper data (or similar) to buy mercs...

the best solution might be to add a piece of code that checks that number bought does not exceed 999...

it would also be good to have that random generation thing, but with even more randomness, where it might create several times one turn, and 0 times another, but always a defined total each day...

I like that, but maybe it's also time for more mercs to spawn? As 36K is an old number and many people have joined SGW since...

I think the amount of mercs produced should be relative to the average army size or something. So as the game grows the ammount of mercs grow too.


And my point on data tampering still stands, how can using a program to get around a limit put in place by admin to regulate the sell of mrecs not be concidered cheating? I know for a fact that people have bought 30K mercs in 1 click. 1 click.

Is it not strange to see the merc market at -30K? Or is someone getting 30K mercs that weren't even there ok with everyone? I mean you think it right that 1 person is lucky to get 999 mercs and the man next to him gets 30K?

it isnt cheating, but from what we read just a while ago, it is illegal...

cheating would, as said earlier, imply creating resources or using less resources than one should be; tamper data doesnt do that, it only makes it use less time to use those funds, and doesnt cost less... using tamper data is more close to hacking the game...

Puting the mercs on the market in 999 quantities in every 30sec would be great, cause it could stop Tamper Data and give a chance to everyone to get some mercs...

Tamperdata is illegal, and its closer to hacking than cheating, therfore, Forum could bann TD users if he thinks they expoiting the game....

But apparently using a outside program to get around a limit he put in place isn't any of the above to him. Go figure.

only a small fraction of the buying merc population may use tamper

this will do nothing...the mercs will still dissapear in like one sec

Mercs have such a small impact on the overall game that they should just be made infinite. This would stop ALL of this junk forever.
