i think they should be able to be sellable, but then remember how this could be abused.
imagine you had a normal planet. planet defence costs 40 mil
then you turn it into huge. getting even 60% off a def would be giving you a profit.
I'd say somewhere between 40-50% for a planet defence

That's an easy fix. Just give back a percentage of the lowest defense cost per weapon sold back. Even if you have a HUGE planet with 80 million per defense, you are only getting a percentage of what a tiny or small planet's defense costs. That way, you still get something back and it can't be abused as was mentioned above.

or have returned naq depend on average size of all planets...
after all, there arent that many tiny or very small planets out there, right?
while regular players cant know how many planets there are in total, the game still knows that, so it should be possible to calculate... especially if each size is given a number, like: tiny=1, very small=2, small=3, etc...
while some may profit slightly from this, the majority wouldnt... there could also be a limit on how many times one can sell defenses each day, as that would prevent people from just aquiring a tiny planet, and if average size is large, buy 10 000 defenses and sell them, thus multiplying naq by 6... or perhaps there should be limit of several hours after selling defense before one can rebuy it?

i dont want to profit, i just want back what i spent on planets i no longer want. 70% or so would be great.

Pog agrees with the 50% option, but it must depend on size.
Good idea, though.
