zeratul is right, the attack defend system is balanced, both sides lose something (uu) but fleets vs defences only defences lose, tisn't properly ballanced

mate no comment to that. you're taking it a step too far.

you want to tell me that you find it ok and realistic that if you attack 1000 defence turrets with 200 fleets you manage to destroy 30-40 turrets and return home with all jets and only have them scratched?

and concerning the coding. it's easy. you just say that all get damaged just like regular weapons during attacks. BUT you also loose a % depending on the ratio of fleet power/ plan. def power and whether you lost or won the battle.

I like these ideas...Similiars were already suggested and I liked them but I hope at least this one will be made...

No less realistic for an 80 billion strike to be able to hit a 200 billion defense and the resulting loss is only UU and weapons damage. I know I've personally massed down defenses much higher than my strike by simply doing a repair after each hit or every other hit. In my eyes, it's the same thing with fleets.

While I don't support making fleets destroyable any more than I would like to see weapons made destroyable, I *would* support weapons and fleets taking a higher % of damage as the difference between the strike and defense grows. In your example (1000 turrets hit by 200 fleets), the fleets should take 80% damage when they hit. On the other hand, hitting 1000 turrets with 5000 fleets should cause 80% damage to the planetary defenses.

You want this game to have elements where you can get so much more power you cannot be touched, normally. However, you should not be competely untouchable, so there has to be something else to balance it out.

In this case, i think it is fairly difficult to mass a big defence planet down, even more so than a player with more defence than ur strike. So, making it cost even more to get a planet, is silly.

I rekon the amounts killed could be based on the value of the planet. This would still allow the bigger players to keep their 500k UP, but it would cost them, whereas at the moment they are basically safe.
