its to late to impletement, people have spent WAY to much on planets now.
Maybe if there was a way of selling planets defences it would compensate slightly.

where is the logic in that?!?! before informing people that ascension would wipe everything, peolpe spent everything on mines/def/strike/covert. counteless people lost everything when they ascended. that logic of spending way too much doesn't hold because it didn't and does not hold with everything else in ascension.
still think it should be implemented

Heres a thought, make it optional. When you ascend make it so that you can choose to turn in your planet for AP (based on size, defenses, type of planet and bonuses given by the planet), or you can keep it the way it is if you plan to keep playing main. That way, everybody wins.

I've got a 200 bil strike, and dont want to convert it to AP. I dont have it my way. You don't have to have compromise in this matter, and in this case, I don't think you should. You get hauled away into the spirit realm, you don't make choices.
That's like choosing to turn yourself into jail and wearing your watch with you into jail and saying its my choice to keep it with me, and then have the guards let you in with it. It's not your choice to make. You should lose it, regardless.
