That said, I have also helped dozens of smaller players bank their naq. I also don't see what harm that does. Does it really matter that some guy now has 30 bil in his bank when he should have 20 bil? The only person I could see it hurting is me and my poor spammed broker

The only times I went over the limit was when I was a far smaller player(under 15 mil) and I had just sold say a million uu's. I didn't really see any harm to it.

You know, in the old days we used to sell weapons to buy spylevels if our banks weren't big enough. You don't need overbanking. It's just a cheap way to cheat yourself around the naq you would lose in selling weapons. I'm hoping Forum will eventually come around to this one like he did with the turn brokering, which was the same thing and was also fixed.
Here's another question. The game allows you to trade resources between accounts as long as they're not on the same IP. So if I use a proxy to make a couple multi's to increase my income, since the game doesn't prevent it, I'm allowed?

As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.

and if it is, by admin´s eyes, since most ppl (with ss) use it, admin can take care of it easly, so if he doesnt, that means its ok
its a good facet of the game that works for everyone, but mostly helps the newer players. there are others that are not.

i say leave the bank thingy alone, it is needed sometimes.
@ Crimson frost.
dude that only helps the larger players and as such i would class that as an imbalance to the game
True, I would think that it may be better to say that there is 0 defense available for the extra naq. (As in if you see it there, you can hit with 1 attack weapon and take it all.)
It allows you to bank that extra naq as normal, but involves significant risk since anyone can take it.

being in control of more than 1 account regardless of IP is specifically stated in the rules to be cheating. have a bit of naq over flow your bank is not. rendering your point completely invalid.

we think it is ok... the only ones who we can see benefit from this, is those already at the top... removing it will only hurt the weak players...
we rarely use it, since it prevents us from banking naq the normal way, so there is already a downside to it...

Its clearly stated how large your bank is. In order to manage safe trades it was necessary to allow big sums of naq to be put directly into your bank.
That made great sense. But bye going and using the feature to increase the ammount you can store you are going against the intented banksize limit.
Saving up and having masses of weapons for that used to be a exprerience that is nearly gone for good.
For me its cheating

not a bad idea mate but let me ask you this....if i was to take your excess naq how long would my account or alliance last?
i also ask myself that question if someone far lower in power did it to me
this topic needs to be split now, or at least a new thread in suggestions so this can be debated without polluting flavars thread further

I think it's been put there on purpose.
I'm sure Admin would have foreseen that happening. He didn't lock it out, so why would it be a problem?
If it was an oversight on Admins account, then yes, I agree it should be undone. But how long has this feature been there? No one has ever been banned for doing this, and everyone knows about the function.
I think doubting Admin as much as to suggest he's left a major GAP in the code there, nah. He didn't forget it. He allowed it.
But that's just interpretation on my part.
I'll abide by the laws set for me.
Regards,

The idea to take excess banked naq would only ruin large naq trades, people would just watch the market for smaller players selling lots of UU and hit them when someone says they will buy, or people will buy the UU then hit them for the excess naq and esentially just get extremely cheap UU.
it may sound ok in theory but it would have alot of flaws and it would create even more bad attitudes much like planets.
sorry but, bad idea.
and yes people would have thought of it as i did already and im sure there are much smarter people than me that play this game. not that im dumb but still.

So if it's not specifically in the rules, then you can do as you wish? Hmmm, I should get a couple of buddies to break into the jtest account and give away a huge amount of resources. Once they do, they'll tell me where the resources went, and I'll go steal them. The rules don't say you can't take stolen goods, so I couldn't possibly get punished for it, could I? Hmmm....

your twisting my words, but regardless, accessing another persons account without thier permission is also against the rules. and im not sure if the last part is completely coverd by the rules but you would still be in on the accesssing of the jtests account and therefore have still directly broken rules.
the 2 accountsa that raided the jtest UU were banned without proof because they "may" have been in on it. fairly sure thats proof enough its not allowed. especially since it was stated by forum himself
