ok, can we have a mod-group-hug now please? ;)

Joking aside, it's not always fun modding these forums, in fact sometimes it's even work ;) but my personal experience is that people usually treat you just as respectful as you treat them and appreciate when you explain to them why their topics were locked/deleted/moved.

After all we are all here because we like playing SGW, mods or non-mods...

But i have to say that i enyoy finally being abel to act on insultive posts or spamm.

Also we move topics to the suitable place
We mod out swearing
We warn the repeating rule breakers
We make guidelines and list of some common things, to free up time for you
We direct you to the right topic if you are in a wrong topic or post something the 2nd time.
We delete spam, so you don't have to read 100posts for the 5 which is interesting you.
We are helping peoples whose ask us.

ALL OF THIS FOR FREE

Just this comment is gloryfying what he does, it suggests that what he does has a vaule, which it does to a certain extent but not the way he puts it.

Let me put it as i see it. "Look at me i do all this work for the forum for free" then listing everything he does in detail. hence Glorifying what he does.

A definition of glorify: to cause to be or treat as being more splendid, excellent, etc., than would normally be considered.

He is making his job there as a mod look more difficult than it is and make it look as to be of some value, just by adding "ALL THIS FOR FREE" therfore glorifying.

Why would i do that?? Im just trying to point my point across, i don't see this disscussion as a game to win, i see it as a sensible conversation on the moderators.

Every discussion has 2 sides, you obvioussly don't like hearing the other and are by making that comment, trying to brush it aside. Which in my eyes isn't a very good trait for a mod to have.

At least Achronon had the decency to accknowlage my post and talk to me about it.

A quote from what was in the PM
I also think that it is we as the community that should do something about it by having more open communication.

This will show more respect for everyone and give a true chance for change.

Open communication, isn't that what im trying to have here, rather than being the usual ass kisser i take the other side. Dismissing what im saying doesn't seem to be open communication to me....

Reading all things again i think i might misunderstood you. So when i posted first, i thought that you were curious about what else we do. Sorry on that, but not everyone is native English. The following post was out of a feeling that you want to prove that we are only mod to have authority.
Again sorry on that.

You are on my msn list btw, so you can talk to me all the time. Not to mention we are in the same alliance in Q and main too. LMAO.
I will be online later today, but Acronon knows me so you can ask him about me...

Maybe he even could tell me why i was going mad about that thing i misunderstood (as i see it now).

Yes dont complain about slicky he may act sometimes like a pain in the <modded> but you can allways be sure that you can have an good discussion with him.

And a sign of a good discussion is that you can accept that the other person made a valid point without that you have no discussion just a making of statements

Don't get me wrong Bazy i wasn't singling you out, it was a general accross the board statment (which is wrong to do), a few of the mod's do get on with what they do and don't try and make it look like they have a really difficult task, but i think there are some that try and make it look overly hard and they think they deserve to be looked apon as a better member of the community, thus trying to big themselfs up a bit. Basicly to recive an ass kissing from people like Emma etc etc (No offence)

Jack yes i am always a pain, but if i wasn't it be borning :D

Instead of listing the mods I dislike and what I disapprove of I'm going to take the high road and mention those I feel do a great job.

Geisha (you are the most awesome chick on the forum!)
Psi (you make it all possible and are even a very forgiving person)
Reality (thanks for your professionalism)
Shaitan (You do a good job buddy, but I'd like to see you around a little more)
REK
Rienna
Buck
Wolf359 (boy I wish you could be around more!)
Bazy
Jake
Teal'auc
Spacey

You guys I feel go above and beyond the call of being helpful on this board as well as keeping the order instead of creating more disorder. You always strike me as fair and honest people, and I greatly respect that. Keep the good work.
