i guess the object is to keep hope alive in those that just started the game that are at a severe disadvantage. As in a game it would be advantagous for you to find out about it and start about it as soon as possible. Unfortunately some people didnt and are starting now prepared to put their effort into it to catch up. Limits/caps/plague and so forth slow down the people who have already achieved the point where their practically unstoppable to level the playing field a small amount *as you can still surpass even the limits with a worthy UP*.
That's my 2 cents

The only thing that bothers me a little is the lack of bank upgrade when you ppt. I love the removal of overbanking and the other changes.
Now, for example, as a small player I have a small bank size, as it should be. However, if I play for the next 2 years say, my bank size will never be as big as an older player with the same miner count, as they've already had the ppt bonuses before the changes.
Everybody should get bonuses, or nobody. I don't agree with letting people keep their bonus, and therefore put all the newer players at a long term disadvantage (I'm talking month and years of play here).
No doubt there will be someone who'll disagree, but if I put alot of hard work in to catch up with the big boys, why should I be permanently disadvantaged?
My 2p

...The growth curve is AMAZING compaired to what it was a year ago.. Why is this?...
I think too many people hink about the goal and forget about the journey to get there. Remember those days when taking 1 million naq was huge?
I think that there are a lot of players around that are primarily focused on the end goal but forget to enjoy their time getting there.
I think the end result is nothing if you haven't enjoyed the journey to get there. I think that it's in the realm of possibility that the older players had to work a little harder(ie. not planets with UP, no co's with hundreds of billions of power to protect you, etc.). There is not fault in the way things are now, it is the nature of the beast... but I guess what I'm saying is that it might be better to 'see the forest for the trees' if it's not happening for some.

all the players from a year ago have alot more of one resource then the noobs do, probably the most valuable one in the game, yet not in the game...time..time to have clicked those buttons for countless hours raiding, time to deal for more uu or whatever their trades are, and time for their up's to grow, something the newer players desperately need to make up for. If the noobs (like me) would spend more time raiding and playing the game and less time whining about how their army isnt as big as the other guys (cuz they spent the time raiding and not whining) theyd grow just as fast if not faster (they do seem to whine ..alot)

Limits make me feel more powerful, define an end goal that isn't a moving target, and suppress other players who have the unfair advantage of more clock time than me. I say keep the existing limits. Even more limits should be added.
However, I want the limits moved up when I get close to them though. I don't want to be limited in how I play the game.
