You should see how solidly they physicaly build the xbox360, i dont care about the gaming platform, I opened it up to have a look, left it plugged in, while I was messing around, got told to come down stairs, my phone then went off, ran upstairs, tripped over a cable of the xbox, every component in that thing went flying, disc drive, hard disk etc... literally across the room. Slotted it back together, no problems, now I was impressed by that.

more sales b/c out longer the gap will close fast.

theres a comparision done by a neutral group of people

HD DVD is the future, the good film companys have signed on to HD and not blue ray, blue ray isnt hugely sueprerior to HD DVD and HD DVD actually works properly, blue ray is known to be glitchy.

PS3 has practically no good exclusive games other than metal gear solid. pretty much everything else good on the console isnt exclusive to PS3. sony didnt act fast enough to get exclusives.

xbox 360 outsold the PS3 and on its opening weekend xbox 360 sold somthing like 250k units and PS3 sold something like 180k. also the xbox live service may cost more but you can get free TV through it and download HD programs and films and other HD content (not out in UK yet )

xbox 360 actually has many great exclusives gears of war, halo 3, splinter cell conviction, dead rising, PGR, bioshock, shadowrun, alan wake... the list goes on. whereas for PS3 the list isnt even 1/4 as long.

xbox was far superior to PS2 in every way. 360 wasnt meant to combat it, 360 was meant to get next generation quality cheaply and efrfectivly and has amazing stats, PS3 delayed and delayed and dealyed trying to get equal to xbox 360 and its failed in pretty much everyway it dosnt even have the promised exclusive games that would of helped in the war agaisnt 360. PS3 games are becoming mutli format more and more everyday, they just lost Devil maycry 4. when a disc tray that dosnt come out is the best feature of your console you should no theres something wrong

its the same as when xbox came out, everyone had PS2s and that was all theyd known for years, then when xbox came out a few poeple saw it for what it was and its potential. but there was still people who supported PS2 fanatically coz thats all theyd known before xbox. its that history that keeps people supporting the PS3, not much more than that.

PS3 is a huge price tag and regular games wheareas xbox 360 is a small price tag that does everything PS3 does as well as having great exclusive games and most of the games the PS3 has. oh yeh and its slightly smaller and lighter

so vote 360 and get a huge amount of fosters

Blu-Ray has more companies siding with it, more movie makers, and ultimately more money. HD-DVD has microsoft and Intel, big deal.

HDDVD might be the future, but until that future, it costs a buttload, even a buttload of buttloads.

X360 was meant to get the next gen. quality cheaply - 400+$ isn't really my definition of something cheap..

PS2 & Xbox were two very diff. things since they didn't have the same game variety, PS was more RPGs with Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts etc.. Xbox was more action, combat, kill 'em all with Splinter Cell & the alike, altho I think they made PS versions of it..

X360 and PS3 have BOTH huge price tags .. << What was it, 350-400+$ a piece?

Gatedialer : Either way in the end there's going to be only one of those left, they can't use both and make the customer pay the *outrageous* prices of each reader + each HDDVD/B-ray movie ..

Also, just a thought, why making things that are so expensive anyway? They aren't worth what you are paying for them really anyway.. They cost what, 30$ to produce.. That's why I stick to my original solution to the whole console issue: Get a good computer, let's say one of those shiny Alienware, and set it right & get the right stuff and you'll be emulating mostly anything you want in no time, without paying the *once again outrageous* prices set on those overrated consoles.

consoles cost alot to produce, sony loses about $250 for every console they sell and microsoft loses about $200. they make their money back through games, just buying 5 games for the console puts the console back into profit.

also i know their not cheap but xbox 360 is relativly cheap compared to PS3, its the same price xbox was when it came out and PS3 is one of the highest prices for a console ever

not just mircosoft and intel, 20th century fox and universal, arguably the 2 best film studios ever. as well as most of the electronic companys like Panasonic, JVC etc

blue ray has sony, toshiba and 1 or 2 slightly good film companys and ofcourse disney

none of those companys can match those siding with microsoft

yeh if people hadnt guessed i have an xbox 360 and thinks its going to win the console war
