Well thats true if they go with a fixed number of miners killed. If they go with a % then it will effect everyone evenly.
I think this should be like sending your MS out to find a planet. When you attack someones sun, the other realm gets an alert. Once they get this alert they have until the attack comes in to do something to stop it from ever happening. If they miss this window the effect kicks in... but they have the option to do something else that will turn it off.
I am just not sure how you head it off... maybe an anti-covert attack of some sort. And to reverse it... maybe some sort of tech you need to research?

depending on how to stop it.
Now back to the % or fixed
Fixed is even cause EVERYONE pays it.
% means that's it shaped that large accounts are going to loss More units( ALOT more)
however if fixed is bother you just make it based on the lifers, you kill 1M lifers for every time, the UU well they know the suns about to flare, so they get the heck out there, where the lifers well all they know is the mines.
Oh and theres your solution btw
TO Solve the problem, someone just needs to untrain their miners. LOL

You obviously havent read it properly then because your post makes absolutly 0% sense.
And HE the way you say it is that its easier for big players to hit little ones plus little players will lose more? That doesnt make any sense.
Big guys can buy the defences to stop it happening yes they wil lose more but it doesn't matter both accounts can buy the stuff back at the same pace.
Little guys probably cant defend from the big guys that easily so they should lose less.

Little players won't have the resources to buy enough turns. Big player can keep buying turns. SO they'll keep collapsing stars.

and obviously you wouldnt spend 1k turns to collapse the star of a rank 60k player with 300 lifers to kill 1 and leave 299 lifers.......
what i mean is eventually its not worth the turns anymore and they just hurt themselves by mass/collapsing
besides the fact that there is a limit, only being able to collapse 1 star every certain amount of days....

Thurfir said it! Use taxes(eg (figures not accurate) 1% up to 1 mil, .8% up to 10 mil etc) ... it kills more of a higher player, but not insane amounts... while the smaller account still gets some damage?

Its like if you dropped a grenade into a crowd... If the crowd is dense and tightly packed... its going to kill more people then if they were few and dispersed.
Higher population and thus population density of the world would only make it logical to kill a percentage and not a fixed amount.
I do like the idea of it only killing lifers however... as you could consider them too beat down in their work to have the will to leave with this is happening.

personally i am against killing miners/lifers suggestions but this one is interesting, it just has to be a smaller percentage of miners killed, lets say 1 mil in 3 days and not 3. and with killing them with your MS i got another idea, how about MS to have covert. the higher the cov would be more difficult for radars would be to notice them when it is coming in your galaxy to kill your miners, that would effect the percentage of killed miners, maybe?

i totaly agree with this point. im not a big player, i would consider myself medium, but i could buy a couple of thousand turns a day, with this i could hit at least 10x the amount of accounts that someone that wasnt able to afford turns on the bm could while only being able to be hit once myself. while a % is the probably the fairest, the total amount of damage i could do would far excede anything that could be done to me

An admenment: You have to sacrafice your MS to create a solar flare.
The amount of damage being related to the power of the MS after it does combat with the defenders attempting to stop it.
A MS fights as if all its Weapons slots are full in defence of their Sun.
Code can similate a 20x15 turn on the attack, to allow each to be damaged as the attacker transverses the Solarsystem to the Sun.
Hopefully this will keep multies from sending in MSs etc..
It will slow Huge accounts from pounding on the smallest, and keep the smallest from renacting the Planet stealing campaign where the smallest accounts are stealing from the largest without recourse.

Hmm this is very interesting... so the attacker and the defenders ships fight... if the Attacker wins... then the star is attacked and he loses his MS in the blast. If he loses... hmm... his MS takes a day or two to get back to him.
Also building a new MS should take some time also, it should not be instant like it now.
This would allow for people that have been attacked to counter attack. It would also make it so that people do not do this with out some planning.

No that compeltly ruins my idea you can't sacrifice your MS to blow up a sun obviously they are going to fly away.
