there is some roleplay on the chaos server... as there is the race war function... and there are hidden ingame forums for each race... so there is a little roleplay left...


one reason there is less roleplay on main now, is that each race has too many members... too many to keep wars clean...

Oh, could a mod move my roleplay thread from the temple back to the gouald fourm pls ?

you need to talk with one of the misc mods for that... or an admin/supermod

In the beginning most people still picked their race because of what they were like on the show. Nowadays, people pick their race mostly for the advantages they give. And nearly all top players have an ascended race which pretty much removes all distinction between races. And like Zeratul said, there's too many players. Even with a large Goa'uld alliance it would be nearly impossible to gather even 1% of all Goa'uld players. If it was hard 2 years ago, nowadays it's just impossible.

Who cares if DaDigi says its spam, even the Gouald race mod has a post in his section talking bout the 'good ol days' of the race RPG aspect.

Yeah... ascension pretty much killed it, people saw some reason for it when there were actual advantages to the different races... rather that just being ascended and everything being the same , system lord/tollan... no real dif type thing.

I roleplay on other websites, and it's more like group of people writing one awesome story together. Everyone for their own character. So actually if you'd read it, you'd think you are reading some fan fiction, with one difference - the story is written by more than one person. The posts are mostly at least one A4 long, so no "cell phone texts" - that is what I call roleplaying... but I am not sure if people would be interested in such kind of roleplay here.

The problem is too many mods see a slightly spammy topic and just movei it right away. Yes that means u 2 jenny :p

Usually on RP dedicated forums (the conclave comes to mind), one section is for the finished product - another for the OOC talk - It's up to the GM (thread started usually) to work out the rules, and to call down the mods when neccesary.

Of course, I can't see us becoming a dedicated RP forum... but I do miss the pro-replicator banter that used to fill the halls.

Maybe we could try to convert some goaulds to reps. What killed the single race alliance was that they were normally weaker than an all race alliance. An all replicator alliance used to work because you could actually sab all of a person's weapons back then.
